2012 年、Google はプログラミングに精通した学士、修士、博士課程の学生の皆様を対象に、東京オフィスにてインターンシップ プログラムを実施いたします。プログラムの参加者には、Google のトップ エンジニアや研究者とともに働いていただきます。世界中のユーザーに届くプロジェクトに参加したいと考えている皆様のご応募を、心よりお待ちしております。

莫大な量の情報を正確かつ効率的に管理および処理するための大規模分散ファイルシステムや関連インフラストラクチ ャの構築、何 10 億ものウェブページとその他のドキュメントを巡回しインデックスを付与するためのソフトウェア設計と 改良など、Google のソフトウェア エンジニアと肩を並べて課題に取り組みます。自然言語処理、人工知能、データ ー圧縮、機械学習や検索技術を駆使しながら、世界中のさまざまな国や地域のユーザーに届くサービスを研究、開発 します。

インターンシップ期間は、2012 年 6 月 から 8 月の開始日から、最短 8 週間～最長 14 週間になります。スタート日、参加期間は、それぞれのスケジュールにあわせてご相談のもと決定します。就労ビザ等を必要とされる方はお早めにご応募ください。対象となる方には、応募締切前にご案内差し上げる場合がございますが、選考ならびに合否への影響はございません。

Minimum Qualifications:

• 国内外の四年制大学または大学院に在籍中の方（学士, 修士, 博士）。恐れ入りますが、既に卒業されている方、フルタイムの就業経験がある方は、中途採用 のページをご覧ください。

Preferred Qualifications:

• システムソフトウェアやアルゴリズムの知識/li>
• プログラミング能力　（ C++ , Java, Python 歓迎）

Our projects include working on advanced information-retrieval algorithms, massive scalability and storage solutions, and large-scale applications that enrich the user experience. We also work extensively on networking systems, advertising systems and complex transaction systems in consumer applications.

The role: Software Engineer Intern

The 2012 Google Japan Software Engineering internship is a full-time opportunity for Bachelor, Masters and PhD students interested in software development and research. Internships are a minimum 8 and maximum 14 weeks. Interns work side-by-side with Google’s own engineers and researchers in the Tokyo R&D Center to work on advanced information-retrieval algorithms, massive scalability and storage solutions, and large-scale applications that enrich the user experience. We also work extensively on networking systems, advertising systems and complex transaction systems in consumer applications.

Software Engineers at Google are researchers and developers who yearn to create and implement complex computer science solutions. Our engineers develop massively scalable, distributed software systems and also collaborate on multitudes of smaller projects that have universal appeal - which requires research, awareness, interactivity, and asking questions. You build strong competencies in data structures and algorithms, along with a technical fascination for how stuff fits together. You need to have a solid foundation in computer science in order to consistently come up with new ideas as well as strive for a deep understanding of our products and services in order to continually improve upon them. We focus on being a collaborative, global organisation consisting of engineers with the highest levels of technical depth, programming skills and a passion for quality.

As a Software Engineering intern, you could end up working on our core products and services or those that support critical functions of our engineering operations.

This internship will last for 8 to 14 weeks, and can start between June and August 2012. We will accommodate your school schedule when determining the start date and duration. • Intern projects are determined based on the experience, skills, and interests of the student. If you are interested in a particular area, programming languages, etc., please make sure to include it in your resume or cover letter.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelors or Master’s or PhD program at the time of application. If you have already graduated or work as a full-time employee at another company, please visit our mid-career jobs site.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in systems software or algorithms.
• Excellent implementation skills (C++, Java, Python).
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments and APIs.
• Willingness to work in a global environment. (Fluency in English is not required at the time of application.)
