主な業務内容:
- Google プロダクトの拡充と改善を目標に、ソフトウェアアプリケーションの研究、着想そして実際の開発を行う。
- 自然言語処理、人工知能、データー圧縮、機械学習や検索技術を用いて、様々なプロジェクトに貢献する。
- 大量のデータや情報へのアクセスをふくめたスケーラビリティの問題に対応する。
- 直面するあらゆる技術的な問題を解決する。
必要な経験 / スキル:
- 4年制大学理工系の学士もしくは同等の知識と経験 （コンピューターサイエンス系学科の修士号や博士号歓迎）
- C、C++ または Java のいずれかにおける充分なプログラミング知識
- UNIX / Linux または Windows 環境におけるソフトウェア開発能力
- 技術的なチャレンジを楽しめること
- グローバルな環境で活躍したい方（応募に際して英語力が高い必要はありません。）
Software Engineer - Tokyo
This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.
The area: Software Engineering
Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies for which we've become world-renowned. In addition to revolutionizing search technology, we use our world-class programming skills to innovate in a number of other areas as well. Our projects include working on advanced information-retrieval algorithms, massive scalability and storage solutions, and large-scale applications that enrich the user experience. We also work extensively on networking systems, advertising systems and complex transaction systems in consumer applications.
The role: Software Engineer
Software Engineers design and write complex software systems for both internal and external use. Engineers are well-rounded developers who know how to create robust high-volume production applications, and can also develop prototypes quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Research, conceive and develop software applications to extend and improve on Google's product offering.
- Contribute to a wide variety of projects utilising natural language processing, artificial intelligence, data compression, machine learning and search technologies.
- Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information.
- Solve all problems that come your way.
Requirements:
- BS degree (MS or PhD in computer science or equivalent preferred).
- Extensive experience programming in C++ and/or Java.
- Experience working in a Unix, Linux or Windows environment.
- Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.
- Strong interest for working in the global environment (Excellent English skill is NOT required).
