Weda left her posh home in the city when she became a young, unwed mother. The jungle better suited her carefree lifestyle. As the Haré + Guu anime begins, Weda lives alone in a small village with her young son Haré. Weda hunts, drinks, sleeps, and socializes, leaving the household chores to Haré. She adopts the orphan Guu out of sympathy.
