We now have a few budget Mini PC units which can emulate up to GC, PS2, Wii, and Wii U. These are the best price-to-performance options you can find without spending large sums for a Retro home console. These consoles have a dual boot option and come preconfigured with a 512GB SanDisk USB running Batocera allowing you to jump into retro gaming action and saving you many hours of setup and hassles.

They also have internal SSD hard drive storage with windows 11 pre-installed and ready to go, you just have to set up an account on initial boot-up. You'll be able to use this as a daily PC, installing apps and games within windows and as a retro console when desired.

Variations:

The GK Mini comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD HD and the Mini S with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD HD are very capable Mini PC consoles and are able to emulate more difficult systems such as GameCube, Wii and some PS2, it is also capable of playing all Nintendo 64 library at higher resolutions and much smoother frame rates. Systems such as Dreamcast, PSP, and PS1 are also very well supported with higher frame rates and resolutions than our other collections of consoles.

Performance per dollar cost analysis proves that this product performs well beyond its expectations and price point and is one of the best-performing home consoles we have in stock, supporting about 60 systems and over 27k titles.

Preconfigured supported systems: Amstrad CPC, amstrad gx4000, Mame arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 800, Atari 7800, Atari lynx, Atari Jaguar, Wonderswan, Wonderswan color, colecovision, commodore 64, scummvm, Odyssey 2, Intellivision, Vectrex, msx 1,2, PC Engine, PC Engine CD, supergrafix, NES, Gameboy, Gameboy color, Gameboy advance, SNES, N64, GameCube, pokemini, NDS, Wii, Wii U, Panasonic 3do, openbor, ports, Sega atomiswave, SG-1000, Sega master system, Genesis/mega drive, game gear, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, model 3, Dreamcast, Naomi, Sinclair ZX spectrum, Neogeo, Neogeo CD, Neogeo pocket, pocket color, solarus, PS1, PS2, PSP,

We also have the high-end Beelink ser 3 with Ryzen 7 3750H processor is another unit we've added to the list, it is very capable and powerful compact PC which can also be used as a desktop PC and gaming console. This unit will play anything Retro that's thrown at it, PS2, GC, Wii and Wii U aren't a challenge for it

Test results on GK Mini, note that the Mini S does have a slightly better processor which would perform slightly better:

32-bit and older systems: should not expect any issues emulating systems from the 70s,80s,90s. 3DO and Saturn ran well overall

Nintendo 64 at 720P resolution for the more difficult titles such as KI Gold, cruisin' USA and more yielding excellent gameplay.

PSP: running at 4x resolution, +FXAA antialiasing for GTA as a sample also yielded smooth gameplay

DC: At 720p gameplay was excellent for many titles tested, you can expect no issues here.

GC: X2 resolution, Metroid, MK double dash ran great, F-zero GX, was playable but did have some audio distortions at X2, would expect at least 80-95%+ of GC library to be playable at native resolution, further testing needed to determine performance.

Wii: it is capable of emulating some Wii titles, we tried paper Mario, Kirby, DK and they ran well at native resolution.

PS2: after trying crash bandicoot, MVC 2 we noticed it can emulate them well, expect it to play a good fraction of the PS2 library, further testing needed to determine what is supported, this would be a difficult system to emulate overall.

Included with the system is the 512GBGB Batocera system preconfigured for plug and play, you also have the option to choose either wired or wireless Xbox style controllers, we do have them in black and white.

The 512GB USB expands further to support GC, PSP, PS2, and other arcade systems.

You will also have the ability to use these units as mini desktops PC and can boot into Windows 11 to be used for multi-purpose tasking, the system has a built-in cooling fan which runs very silently when under heavy loads, we did not notice any increase in fan noise while using this as a gaming console, the unit maintained stable temperatures without any heat throttling or overheating of the hardware.

What makes this system great:

**Ability to add your own ROMs in the future if you wish

**Wireless play, game saves and loading saved data.

**Retroachievements, although when it's enabled this does conflict with PS1 running but future updates will address this issue

**Retorarch features, applying shaders, and aspect ratios, record a game, modify controller settings, and much more.

**Rare and obscure titles, such as modified classics with hacks and having many requests from customers has to lead to collecting a large trove of rare gems from Japan and other regions, it is always great to try a new game you never heard of and be pleasantly surprised how amazing they are.

**Dozens of themes, beautiful bezels which fill up the side space when using widescreen monitors and TVs, giving it a polished and professional look.

**Game descriptions, ratings, release date, and many other details are displayed in the game selection menu, also includes beautiful artwork, 3D box art, screenshots, and wheel art are all built-in, you can customize the menu to your liking with the ability to change the size of wheel art, and many other fine details about displaying games in the selection area, you can also scrape box art if you add your own ROMs.

**Support for a wide selection of controller models, anything with a USB should be detectable and working, Bluetooth is also another option, Bluetooth receivers also work well and may require remapping of the buttons, but most versions are plug and play refer to Batocera wiki page on additional information.

Controller detection is a breeze for the majority of the brands including some of the popular models from 8-bitDo, Sony, and Xbox and even some of the China third party controllers are plug-and-play and do not require much to get them going unless you are trying to configure, if you are using a simple gamepad without joystick support then it may require some additional configurations within the individual emulator itself, especially if you are trying to play Dreamcast, n64, or PSP.
