ghd Pink Collection: Take Control Now

This year to celebrate 16 years of partnerships with breast cancer charities globally, the annual ghd Pink campaign for 2020 is encouraging women to Take Control Now!

It’s July 1st today which makes me excited for two reasons: #1 it’s my birthday month (woo!) and #2 it’s ghd’s annual Pink campaign! If you don’t know what ghd Pink is, each year ghd release a limited edition pink collection with $20 from each tool sold across Australasia being donated to either National Breast Cancer Foundation Australia or Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. In total so far throughout the 16 year partnership, they’ve raised more than $19 million USD globally!

This year’s ghd Pink campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of checking your boobs by encouraging women with the message “Take Control Now.”

I love that this styler is not only pretty but also has purpose by raising awareness and donating funds to breast cancer research!

Did you know that 90% of 18-35 year women (which is a category I fall into as well as majority of my followers) self check only a few times a year or less YET on average we spend more than 20 hours a month on our hair! Like - wow!

When there’s 400 kiwi women under the age of 44 are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 9 women that will be diagnosed today, I really want to empower you all to take control and dedicate time to your boobies every single month!

For more info on how to self-check, you can visit the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ website here or see below for the Breast Cancer Foundation Pre-Check App!
