IPod nano device descriptor request error 43

iPod Nano was working now when I plug it into my computer windows 8.1 i get an error Device Descriptor Request. Device manager cannot correct the problem. I tried pluggingg it into another computer and obtained the same result. Is there a defect in the iPod causing this problem?

iPod nano (7th generation, Mid 2015), iOS 8.1, my Sansa Elipse works fine

Both computers you tried have the latest iTunes installed? If so, first do a Reset (restart) on the iPod

If that does not help, try putting the iPod into Disk Mode

Then, connect it to the computer running iTunes. If iTunes picks it up, it may prompt you to do a Restore with a message about "recovery." If you're OK with erasing the iPod, tell iTunes to proceed with Restore.
