    Welcome to the forum bud.
I do believe they are working just fine on that mobo.
I am sure others will chime in with specifics.

hello friend I am not well understood ... you say you can not start vertex ssd disks 3 on lsi megaraid 9265-8i on mother Blast Card evga classified sr-2. ie you can not start normally from the raid controller. I recommend or not to buy the LSI 9265-8i .. I turn to you for your high experience with these systems!

I ask because this is your system...

    Wet eVGA Classified SR-2 @ 185bclk
    Intel Xeon X5690 2 Wet's @ 4.8GHz
    EVGA GTX580 HC 3 Wet Classified's @ 1000MHz
    Crucial 48GB REG ECC DDR1333 @ 1900MHz
    LSI MegaRAID SAS 9265-8i @ 2500MB / s
    4 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOP's @ RAID 0
    4 1TB WD Caviar Black's @ RAID 10
    2 Corsair AX1200's @ 12V
    3 Dell UltraSharp U3011's @ My Desk

sorry for my bad English I'm from Venezuela

I don't really understand your question.  My SR-2 has an LSI 9265-8i.  It runs well.

I have Areca cards in other machines.  They run well too, but I have never tried them in the SR-2.

really thank you very much! I have another question. I can do vertex raid 0 with 2 standard and 2 max IOPS? or would be forced to buy 2 standard vertex ssd (2xstandar and 2xmaxiops)

    2) was solved the problem with the USB 3.0 controller in the sr2?

    3) other questions have some link with a guide to overclock evga sr-2 with Xeon E5620
    and 2000MHz memory corsair gt.

    4) Would it be possible to show me a picture or video of 9265-8 in performance with LSI raid 0. . Please

    really thank you very much!

Some help about the raid card here
    And specifically here

You can mix vertex Max IoPs with normal vertexs but the performance will be bad same brand/version SSD's work better together otherwise the results are unpredictable

USB 3.0 was fixed with the firmware upgrade (see sticky) otherwise add the additional 4pin power plug to it located near the CPU0 Socket.

For over-clocking look here plus "search" the forum
