Who was Subhash Chandra Bose?
Subhash Chandra Bose was an Indian Nationalist who was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack. He was the son of Jankinath Bose and Prabhabati Bose. He was popularly known as Netaji. Subhash Chandra Bose was very intelligent. He passed the ICS exam but he returned to India and fought against British Rule. He participated in the noncooperation movement and was one of the prominent leaders of the Indian National Congress. He died on 18 August 1945 in Taiwan, leaving behind an example of patriotism for the younger generation.

His courage and passion inspired the soldiers and he played a crucial role in the establishment of the Indian National Congress. He also established the Azad Hind Fauj military regiment (Indian National Army) to fight against the British Raj.
