Rockne's

Service was great, server attentive and personable. Ate a delicious burger, spouse had a tasty steak sandwich. The place was clean, ample parking. Cost was very reasonable at $12-15 each. I would definitely eat here again.

I have always liked the food at Rockne's I got an on-tray of mac and cheese. Mac and cheese soup no taste at all watery ewwwwww.

Great place to have a beer and a burger. I opted for the double sliders. Yummy! The meat was well prepared and not over cooked. I got to choose the cheese I wanted on the sliders too. The buns were grilled which was tasty. The fries were good, but I would have preferred more crispy ones. Drank a Blue Moon draft while I ate my sliders. They went well together. Highly recommend eating here earlier than later. It was crowded and lots of take out orders; arrived at 6:30 pm and waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Was very impressed with the staff and how well they kept up with dine-in and take-out orders. Lots of efficiency going on.

I haven't been to Rockne's in years since moving out of state so I decided to give it a try for lunch. They've always had such amazing burgers and I remember their signature and gigantic burger Max the Knife. I wasn't ready for a burger feast so I had the mini Max which is only slightly mini. It's two huge burger patties with cheese, lettuce and their special sauce. This mini burger was definitely filling and accompanied with a side of onion rings it made for a great lunch. The food and service was just fine. Nothing over the top but a tasty, affordable lunch option.

Yesterday I had a Souvlaki salad. Today I got the Spinach salad. Delish!!! I could eat here 7 days a week... Always fast, friendly service as well

The email I just sent to corporate:


We have now been turned away from your restaurant twice. You lost a table of six two times. On your door, you have special hours posted. Both times we have arrived more than an hour before closing time. Both times we were told we had to leave. We have been patrons of your restaurant since you opened in both Akron and Canton. We drive a half hour to come eat there and hit your restaurant AT LEAST twice a month if not more.

Tonight, we were trying to come out for a nice meal with my elderly mother. We confirmed that your website was correct about the "special hours" by looking at the sign hanging in the door. When we walked in, we were ignored for a good five minutes. Then finally, a server came over and told us the restaurant decided to close early and we could just come tomorrow. No, we cannot come tomorrow. I work over an hour away from canton, and WHY would I risk driving all that way only to be turned away again?!!!!

This is not the fault of your server, but your management. Your restaurant in Canton is being poorly managed and you are losing customers that have always tipped well over what is expected.

In addition to this, the last time we were ABLE to dine in, we were told AFTER finishing our meal that the prices of the menu were raised apparently while we were eating as the menu didn't list them. WHAT?!

With the price of gas and wasting it twice now, we will NOT be returning.

Haven't been to this Rockne's in a while and was pleasantly surprised at the food and service. The place was packed, but our waitress was amazing, very attentive and brought refills or other items before we even thought of asking. Very refreshing. I got a double cheeseburger with provolone, and my wife the Firestone salad. Each meal is about $10.00 per person and a good value. As always the carnival fries are overflowing off the plate. Also, for a northern restaurant, the sweet tea is up to southern expectations! Kudos.

officially will not be dining at rocknes in Canton again.... and thanks to their customer service or lack there of, will not be dining at any rocknes location again... they really don't seem to care though. lol.

not only did they screw up our order we had placed, they were going to charge us again for it to be remade correctly as we had initially order the items. then when contacting corporate, was told "oh well" basically. no refund for the food we didn't get, but paid for. no refund for the food that was made incorrectly that they were going to charge us again for to be made correctly. no decent customer service. all around an awful experience. they must be hurting for money or something to try to rip customers off so badly. inexcusable.

I'm a burger and beer person. If burgers are on the menu, I'm going to order it. Unless I can't get it to order, which is medium-rare. I was EXTERMELY disappointed when the server told me that burgers were cooked to well done. So, shoe leather. This is not indicated on the menu. Apparently, the patties are very thin and it's too difficult to cook to order. (so get thicker patties) If I had driven, I would have paid for an unfinished beer and left. Instead, I ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was seasoned ok, and the colored chips were a nice touch. I didn't appreciate the run of the mill queso sauce (Walmart? Gordon?), jarred salsa, or the iceberg lettuce. I had to pick out the green peppers since we don't' get along, but the red peppers were good. I was hungry and did not want to search out another place to eat, so ate what was served. The locals I asked about where to eat all mentioned Rockne's. Not sure why. The best part of eating there was the service: Sierra ROCKED. This is a place skip in North Canton, at least for burgers and fajitas.

I'm so sorry to leave a dissatisfied review, but would like Rockne's to hear a review to enhance service. Today, I checked this establishment out because I had a co- worker who stated they liked the French Onion Soup. So, there were 3 sizes and I chose the bowl; which may have not been a good idea. This bowl arrived with 2 square slices sitting on top of the soup broth un melted. The croutons were tasty, but the soup and onions were mediocre at best. I didn't finish the bowl and left it with a half bowl of onions left. As a pescatarian, and o Lu eating seafood, my options were limited and I ordered the Salmon Dinner with broccoli and mash potatoes. The menu stated green beans and rice pilaf but the server steered me towards the mash and broccoli and I see why. It was literally the bottom of the barrel. Watered down veggies, which were frozen and the mash came with a brown color and presented with a burnt bottom of the potatoes. Times are hard and I still tipped appropriately. My daughter and wife's meal was lack luster, so unfortunately there will never be a return visit but hoping this review helps.
