The clean GUI is very easy to use and has a special appeal to it, perhaps because of all that (baby) blue color that is spread all over the app in a variety of hues.
Moving around among messages, contacts or menu items is smooth sailing all the way and the commands are well at hand. There is also a nice library of smileys awaiting to be put to good during your conversations, while notifications are not intrusive and will help to keep you posted about new messages, even if the app is not running.

The video and voice calls have a good quality in many cases, even if sometimes, mainly because of the Internet connection, things may seem to be amiss. The contact list is pretty simple and you can choose to block anyone on your list if you do not want to receive calls from them but still want to keep that entry.
The feature for searching people you want to add to your Skype is well implemented and the results are shown in a few moments, so you can send a request to add them to your list as soon as you find the persons you were looking for.
Nonetheless, if you are looking for some advanced settings for managing the contacts in your list or insofar as the file sharing procedure is concerned, these are still missing from the feature set.
