Breo watch portfolio comes to Cannes

Market Connections is showcasing its fast-growing breo watch range to travel retail buyers


UK. Specialist sales, marketing and distribution agency Market Connections is to bring its breo watch range to the TFWA World Exhibition next month, after a very successful first year in the channel.

According to Market Connections, the range has gained 193 listings covering 45 airlines since its introduction into travel retail in May 2009.

“Key successes to date include being ranked number one within category on every airline where listed, often staying in this position; airlines load eight to 20 watches per flight on average,” the company noted.

“Onboard Qantas, breo ranks eighth out of the total 143 product range. Also, A-list celebrities such as Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and David Beckham have been seen sporting the breo Roam watches.”

The breo travel retail range currently features the “˜Roam’, “˜Venture’, “˜Carve’ and “˜Skin’ watches, with new releases planned for spring 2011.

“breo watches are a statement of design and quality, packaged in slender sleeves or compact tins to optimise cart space,” added the company. “All look great, come in many colours and have comfortable, soft touch rubber wrist bands with water resistance.

“The flagship watch for the travel retail industry has been the breo Roam…a multifunctional sport watch packaged in a slender sleeve. The watch weighs only 10 grams and is water-resistant to 10 metres. It is crafted from Tourmaline, a mineral which is said to aid concentration and improve sleep, relaxation, vitality and mood. It is available in 25 different colours.”
