Windows Mobile

To set up Google Sync on your Windows Mobile 7.x device, please follow the steps below.

Important Note: Make sure that you have backed up any Contacts and Calendars from your phone to your computer before proceeding.

Getting Started

1. On Start, flick left into the “App” list and then tap the “Settings” icon.

2. Tap “Email + Accounts”.

3. Tap “Add an account” and select “Google”.

Before you get started, please locate the version of Windows Mobile device that you have and choose the instructions below that correspond to the correct version.

Windows Mobile 8.x

  1. To start to configure your device, tap on the Settings icon

  2. Select Email + Accounts

  3. Select Add an Account

  4. Select Advanced Setup

  5. Type in your Google Apps email address and your Google Apps password

  6. On the next screen, tap Exchange ActiveSync. The email address and password should already be filled in. If not, fill in the fields with your Google Apps email address and password

  7. Leave the Domain field empty

  8. In the Server field, enter in m.google.com

  9. Select the content that you wish to sync to your Windows Mobile device

  10. Select the Sign In button to complete the procedure

You've now set up Google Sync for your Windows Mobile 8.x device!

Windows Mobile 7.x

4. Tap the Email address box and type in your Google Apps user name.

5. Tap the Password box and type your password.

6. Tap “Sign In”.

7. If you wish to modify which types of information is synchronized between your phone device and your account, to “Settings” and then “Email Accounts”. Tap on your Google account name.

8. Tap on the options you want to sync in “Content to sync” and then tap “done” (the check mark).

You’ve now set up Google Sync for your Windows Phone 7.x device.

Windows Mobile 6.x

To set up Google Sync on your Windows Mobile 6.x device, please follow the steps below.

Important Note: Make sure that you have backed up any Contacts and Calendars from your phone to your computer before proceeding.

Getting Started

1. Open the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync application on your device's home screen.

2. Click Set up your device to sync with it.

3. Enter m.google.com as the server address.

4. Ensure that the SSL option is selected.

Sign In to Your Google Account

5. Click Next.

6. Enter your full Google Account email address as the User name.

7. Enter your Google Account password as the Password. If you're a 2-step verification user, please use an application-specific password instead.

8. Leave the Domain field empty. If your device requires you to enter a domain name, enter google.

9. Click Next.

10. Check Contacts, Calendar, or Email, depending on which you'd like to sync. (Tasks is not supported and will lead to an error if checked.)

11. Click Finish.

12. Press the Sync softkey on the left to synchronize.

You've now set up Google Sync for your Windows Mobile device.
