game isnt launching
I've been trying to launch the game for almost two weeks now and when I hit the play button it goes blue to indicate that its launching then switches very quickly to "stop" as if its running and then very quickly is back to the green play button. I've tried everything I can think of (uninstalling/reinstalling and verifying the game files) and some stuff I found online and nothing's come of it. is there a known fix?

Things you can try:

Disable steam cloud save

Delete shader cache C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2\shader_cache

Uninstall any third party antivirus software if you have any, windows defender is considered more than adequate especially for win 11.

If you are running steam as admin, dont.

Add exception to windows firewall for Nprotect

Try disable User account control settings in windows

Disable control flow guard for the game specifically in windows security settings

Disable any overlays

Disable any MSI afterburner or OC software

Disable Hyperthreading in bios its not meant for gaming but for multitasking and poses security risks. Click on task manager and go to performance, logical processors should be the same numbers as Cores.

this wont fix the problem but its on the house.

got it to work by repairing microsoft visual C++ 2012
