Magic for the back
I was sent this SAMLMAP back brace to review. What I received differs from the pictures on Amazon's site - there was no heating element - yet I can say that the brace received (see my pics, including the model) is like magic for my back. Some things that make it stand out are that the secondary wrap/straps are stretchy but not TOO stretchy, so they truly do offer consistent and firm support, and the triangular lumbar (detatchable) pad is just the perfect size and thickness to put extra pressure just where I need it. The brace has 4 metal stays (bars) on the back side, and what feels like 2 smaller plastic stays on the side. They are not padded nor removeable, which initially concerned me, yet I've found that they don't poke me at all, and they "bounce back" into their straight shape if bent, unlike others I've tried. They are quite comfortable and stabilizing! This back brace is like magic on my back, and relieves pain when other lighter braces, and even braces that "claim" strong support don't. Some braces work well at first, but then the secondary straps stretch or loosen. With this one, even after extended use, the straps on this brace remain firmly supportive. I'm very happy with this SAMLMAP brace!BTW: With a 40" waist, the size L fit me perfectly.
