Desk is sturdy and beautiful! I took the advice from another reviewer and used liquid nails on all the dowels and panel joints. Took my time. After assembly was complete, I let it sit overnight before loading, to allow the adhesive to harden up. End product was rigid and solid. There were reviewers who had trouble with the keyboard tray jumping the track. I prevented this by installing a narrow strip of 1/4" luan, spanning the two side rails (30"), pulling them together tightly. This keeps the wooden side rails from flexing out, keeps slide linkage tight, and prevents the drawer from dropping off it's track during hard use. I'm glad I read the reviews here, to pick up pointers.
Side note on the Supplier: My package came (shipper) damaged. I found one large panel damaged. Upon calling Susie at Inval, she immediately shipped me a replacement, no need to send photos or to prove the damage. That meant a lot, because returning the unit would have been a nightmare.

Once the desk is assembled, it isn't bad - However, the assembly instructions are awful.
When I received the package, I carefully laid it down in my garage and removed the staples so I could open the box. The above pictures are how the contents looked when I opened the box. The packing was inadequate, and the parts were mostly just jumbled up (and slightly chipped here and there) in the box. The broken styrofoam packing was a nightmare.I carefully carried each piece (after brushing off styrofoam beads stuck to each piece) into my family room for assembly. As others have noted, all the small parts are in one bag (not separated), so I took an egg carton and sorted the screws and hardware into the egg carton.The instructions are cryptic at best, and are not very specific about what goes where. More close up insets are badly needed. However, in the end, I figured out how to assemble the desk and it is not a bad desk once you have it assembled.Once I had the desk assembled, it took me a couple hours to just clean up the styrofoam beads in my garage and family room. I'm still finding them.I wish the file drawer were a little bigger in the desk. My last desk had a larger file drawer. With this one, you have to put the file folders in sideways to the drawer because it isn't wide enough to hold a file folder.If you have a full size desktop PC, it probably won't fit into this desk. There is not enough room because of the back cover. I had the same problem with my last desk, and cut a hole through the back cover so I could fit my PC into the desk. I haven't done that with this desk yet.All in all, it's a pretty good desk for the price, and looks nice - but assembly is exasperating, and the packing was very inadequate.
