My first Fire Stick
I recently bought a new TV and unfortunately the New TV didn't have a lot of apps built in programmed that I wanted. So I did some research and this one had a lot of good reviews. So I decided with the Max Fire stick. Extremely easy to hook up. Set up was a breeze, just got the home button and everything just runs and operates by itself. I added those much needed apps that I wanted BTW.I highly recommend this streaming device.

First, you must have a reason to buy this item...so in my case, after I upgraded my internet connection to 1GB FIOS, I found my current 4K TV and other devices that were about 5 to 7 years old with their streaming apps were not streaming at the fastest speed because of their hardware limitations using both ethernet and wifi...

Therefore, knowing I was using a new Denon AV Receiver with an available 4K/8K HDMI AUX2 input available, I purchased this 4K stick to test without disrupting my current AV setup. Well, I must say, the results were very positive!

Received the item, and plugged the stick into my AV Receiver's available AUX2 port (not into my TV) and began the setup. After configuring and setting up my apps (Vudu, Netflix, MAX, etc) as almost every app is available for the stick to use!), I began testing. First, I tested the internet speed - and found the stick was using more than 10 times the internet speed the devices and apps were using on the older devices....

Also, the stick streamed ATMOS audio and 4K video to my 4K TV also connected to my AV Receiver. While watching 4K streaming - there were no skips and delays. There was also a nice Audio/Video SYNC tool available to ensure my streaming apps were in sync between the audio and video streams. Some of my apps on the older devices had issues with audio not syned with the video...(Hulu, etc), and this problem was also resolved!

Once I was happy - I went further and wanted to see if I could program my universal Logitech Harmony remote to work with this addition to my AV setup! AND IT DID!!!!

I highly recommend this device to provide more independence with streaming and apps so you can use your hardware to just provide it's main functions....

I hope this info helps anyone out - enjoy!

From the moment I unboxed the **Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max**, I knew I was in for a treat. This device, hailed as Digitaltrends’ most innovative streaming device of 2023⁵, has not only met but exceeded my expectations.

The setup was a breeze, and within minutes, I was navigating through a user-friendly interface. The **4K HDR** capabilities brought my screen to life with vibrant colors and crisp details that made every scene pop. Whether it was the dark shadows of a thriller or the bright landscapes of a nature documentary, the **Dolby Vision** and **HDR10+** support ensured I didn't miss a single detail.

But it's not just about the visuals; the audio experience is equally impressive. With **Dolby Atmos**, the sound envelops you, creating an immersive atmosphere that's simply unmatched. It's like having a cinema in your living room.

The inclusion of **Wi-Fi 6E** support is a game-changer, offering fast performance and reliable connectivity even on crowded networks². And for those who are part of the Amazon ecosystem, the integration with **Alexa** and access to **Amazon Luna** makes it a central hub for not just streaming but also gaming and smart home management.

While no device is perfect, and there are mentions of sponsored ads and search improvements needed¹, the pros far outweigh the cons. The **Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max** is not just a streaming device; it's a gateway to a world of entertainment, and for that, it deserves nothing less than 5 stars.

I hope this review captures the essence of your experience with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max! If you need any further customization, feel free to ask.

We had an old FireStick that wouldn’t work anymore, so we traded it in for a newer model. I loved that we got a credit for the trade-in when we bought another one. There are a lot more buttons than the previous remote, and more things you can do with it. I like the handy streaming channel buttons on the bottom, and the voice recognition works really well. I love that the FireStick is easy to use and install. The remote is good quality because we’ve dropped it plenty of times and it still functions perfectly. The customer service is also great on it if you ever have any problems, and there are plenty of answers online if you ever have questions. We’ve had four of these so far and have loved every one of them.
