Safety Hunting Knife manufactured from 1902-1913 with hard black rubber handle known in the trade as Gutta Percha and " U " type bolsters. This safety knife was personalized with a previous owners initials. Not sure if this was done by Marble's or another source. We have shown the marking in a couple of our photos. It is inscribed E.S. The blade measures 4 1/2" in length and is still very sharp.`One side of the Gutta Percha handle is embossed and reads " MARBLE'S SAFETY AXE CO. - GLADSTONE, MICH. U.S.A. " Please check all of our photos which are a prime part of the description report.”
