Dead Space Down Fall -DVD
A good lead in to the video game or if you want, just a good movie to watch. This is not Japanese or a re-defination of adult animation. Its got strong language, lots of blood and violence, not the best graphics and voice charters but still gets the job done. Movie shows how it all began and how Ishimura became what it is in a Dead Space game. I played game first and didn't know about existence of this movie. It was great feeling to see the real story and last hours of Ishimura's crew actions. Monsters, sounds, suits, Marker and story... it's amazing how everything seems so similar and coherent with game. I really recommend to see this one after you played. Because it's better to unfold the story while playing than just watch it. Also because the last scene of ... Dead Space Downfall dvd (Sci-fi cartoon)
This movie was really good- pretty close for prequel continuity to the videogame and sets the stage for the incredible survival horror game with the same name. The Downfall dvd has a great voice acting cast and the animation is decent (not over-the-top anime style). The violence, gore, and language is not for the squeemish and is identical to the videogame as well. A must see for sci-fi space/horror fans and anyone who really liked the Dead Space game and want a little back story as to how the events in the game started. The only gripe I have against the story is at the end of the movie... ***SPOILERS BELOW*** = = = = = = = = How does the artifact get from the docking bay (end of the movie) to the cargo bay (videogame) when the events in the movie directly tie into the ... I watched the prequel to Dead Space and I was very happy to see a modern style of animation similar to the Animatrix. The film features more than enough gore, but does not synch with the game very well. A very intresting feature in itself, Downfall delivers an intresting perspective to the introduction of the game. It uses strong language consistantly, but has a lot of action to set the pace for the video game.
