About this product

Product Information

A game designed for film aficionados and aspiring actors, You're in the Movies lets players step in front of the Xbox Live Vision camera and act out scenes from a variety of different movies. Gamers can pick their genre and choose the perfect script, letting them step into the lead role in an action movie, pantomime through a silent film, or play the crazed scientist in a sci-fi thriller. The camera captures player movements so gamers can film, save, and share their best performances, and special mini-games award positive grades for competent portrayals. The "Director Mode" lets players with an eye for drama produce their own blockbuster by allowing them to edit the film, choose music, and add voice-overs. You're in the Movies also features a multiplayer mode in which up to four people can take on starring roles.

  • Clean family fun, not perfect video quality but well worth the $$ spent!

Basically, I got this game because it's not violent, it's not filled with unnecessary adult language, and there's not a bunch of 12 year olds dropping the f-bomb every other word on live. I enjoy Black Ops, Gears of War, etc. but honestly don't think kids should be playing them. This is a game my younger kids (6 and 10) can play and actually laugh because they are having a good time vs laughing because they think the way a toon dies is "funny" or filled with gore. While this is our first evening with the game, they already love it and made 3 movies with it. We're having a bit of difficulty getting the "green screen" type settings right, but our background and lighting are not what I would call ideal. Still, they really enjoy the hammy acting and watching the end product.

  • Does this really count as a video game???

I purchased this game with my 7 & 12 year olds in mind, however upon viewing it, and playing I seem to remember graphics just as bad in my old 1982 Radio Shack TRS-80 Computer system!!! It seemed like at great idea, to use a video camera with a Xbox 360. However, the photos that the system takes are extremely low quality, and the game play interaction is marginal at best. All I can say is to stay away, or it will just be one of those games that you can use to act as bookends on your game collection.

  • Great game.

This game is very fun. You must have the vision camera. I got a vision camera and wanted some achievements. Surpisingly I found out this game is pretty fun. The pictures aren't that great when they capture you but it doesn't really matter. To parents who want this for their kid I must warn you it does say some slighty offensive language such as butt and crap. Other then those few things this game is pretty fun. : )

  • FUN for families and friends to play together

My 13yr old loves to have friends over to play this game. You can just play the mini games, make your own movie or play the mini games with up to 4 people and let the computer make a movie out of your mini game clips. The camera was easy to set up. This game offers something FUN for families and friends to do together.

  • Not for everybody

You're in the movies is probably pretty good for parties, as well as for kids, but I didn't buy it for the game. The only reason I bought the game was because it includes the Xbox Live Vision Camera that can be incorporated with other games played on Xbox Live. I am currently using it in the game Burnout Paradise, which is an awesome game buy itself, and for sixteen dollars it was a better deal than I could find for just the camera alone. So e-bay comes through again.
