Terry Butcher is confident he can halt Newport's poor start to the season after they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at home to York.

Butcher remains without a win since taking charge of the Exiles in the summer and his side have just one point from their opening six games.
Goals from James Berrett, Reece Thompson and Vadaine Oliver secured victory for York before Newport had Danny Holmes sent off for two bookable offences.
Butcher said: "I didn't see 3-0 coming at all. There wasn't anything to choose between the two sides in the first half but we made a mistake and they go into the break in front.
"The second and third goals were soft and then the sending off just compounded our misery. It's hard to be positive when you lose 3-0 and have man sent off.
"At the moment we are not keeping clean sheets and not getting the first goal and when you play like that it's very hard to win games. We have shot ourselves in the foot too often and it's very hard to come back.
"We are a better team than this, we just have to go out there and show it. We will stick together and I am sure that we will start to pick up points and survive.
"It's not about a lack of spirit or anything like that. At the moment it's down to sloppiness and mistakes. The players are hurting, I'm devastated, but you have to keep going."
It was a first away win of the season for York and boss Russ Wilcox felt they were fully deserving of the three points.
"I thought we did a really good job on Newport," he said.
"We scored some good goals, were very solid at the back and controlled sections of the game much better than we have done in recent weeks.
"It's always nice to get that first away win of the season ticked off and this will give my players a lot of confidence and a platform to build off.
"Newport did the double over us last season but it shows how much things can change in this league because there were only two or three players still in the side from the one we faced last season.
"Consistency is always the key in this league, there's not much to choose from between the sides but if we can continue to pick up points and play like we have done today then we will see where it takes us."
