Smells like burnt roses if I'm being entirely honest, I still like it but the sweetness isn't as present as I'd like it to be considering how sickeningly sweet the original Scandal is. Great date night fragrance though, smells like a woman in her 30's with her life together.

gemmawillow_

I really wanted to love this after reading the vanilla, salt and caramel notes but all im getting is jasmine baby wipes. Also its completely gone 10 minutes after spraying.

KatiePB

Not a huge fan of this one, I already have Hypnotic Poison and find i reach for it more often as it is similar enough to my nose. DM if you want my bottle only a couple sprays used and happy to ship at a discounted price!

Fot10

Wonderfully sexy perfume, definitely ideal for date night but so disappointed with the longevity and projection. I have to spray AT LEAST 10 times on my skin and another 10 on my clothes to get it last for more than 2 hours

Chelariu09

This is my favourite perfume. I love gourmand scents and this one is the best so far. I also love don t be shy by Kilian, but JPG is better in my opinion.
I think the salt note is the one that makes this perfume great. It smells to me like salty caramel, and i love this.

midget11

I only like this because it smells exactly like scented babywipes, it has a mild synthetic or "playdough" vibe which i adore, as a babypowder gal this is a powdery pleasure with a synthetic/plastic twist. definitely less babypowder and more scented WIPES, there is a difference! It is a tiny bit salty but not noticeable, and the caramel nuances are very pleasant. I use it at home and for bedtime but honestly I wouldnt mind wearing it outside one day...theres something about it!! Comforting and pleasant af

MyScentBubble

Better than SO scandal in the other red bottle, not as harsh on the florals, has vanilla to balance it out. Didn't remind me of Hypnotic Poison

edit: dries down to basically just caramel and vanilla, its nice but boringly sweet. wouldnt purchase

Dalya_sultan9

I love it ❤️ it's nothing like the OG
Very similar to hypnotic poison edt by dior but more floral (jasmine)
Good longevity but soft sillage
It's very sensual, better for fall and winter or summer nights.

honeymilkbee

It’s okay. Sweet and powdery. Nothing ground breaking here.

Moshpitbunny

Didn’t love this one to begin with - was the first perfume I thought I made a mistake purchasing. Upon first sniff I feared I had gotten the dreaded play dough note I read about with this one and other alike fragrances Hypnotic poison, JHAG mmm.. ect ,, smelled like play dough and so much powder almost overwhelming and was sooo faint I was pressing my nose against my wrist to smell it properly. I put it aside for a week or so and prayed it might get better with some time.

Second time wearing it it was a colder day and I wore it first thing in the morning - it was still pretty faint and I could still smell play dough but I just left it on and continued with my day. Suddenly I start getting wafts of the nicest smell and realised it was the perfume! Once it warmed up on the skin it smelled alike to a caramel or fudge rolled up in icing sugar and flour to stop it being sticky - the jasmine gives this grapey candy background like when you open a box of the Wonka nerds lollies. Very gourmand and now long lasting - I wore it again to work today at 8.00 am now it’s 7pm and I can still smel it strongly. It’s strong but it’s soft and airy - but also has a fudgy or chewy bite to it , very smooth and the caramel and jasmine don’t across screechy at all .. caramel can smell really screechy on me but this one is smooth, yummy and very vannilic - I know it’s not listed but I also get marzipan / almond butter. This went from a 3 to a 10++ for me ! Definitely give it some time to sit a little bit of it doesn’t work for you straight away !! This is so yummy and worth a shot for gourmand lovers looking for something a bit more grown up and sophisticated. Very good for colder months but could still work on the heat and can be dressed up or down for day and night.

Meredithe

The bottle is misleading because it refers to So Scandal which I love. This fragrance is first and foremost floral with a liiiitle bit of soft caramel and maybe vanilla. It lacks some notes that would make it interesting. Had to hand it to my mom although I like jasmine. It's just not my style and what I expected. Disappointed. I guess we pay for marketing and the name.

It's too... serious. And don't we all love Jean Paul Gaultier for his unique style and playfulness?

Elixa

At what stage of the perfume do you decide it's similar to the other one? Always makes me wonder. And not only with this specic perfume, but all of them.

The first spray is similar to Hypnotic Poison Edt, but without a play-dough note. Middle stage have some bitterness and reminds me of JHAG MMMMM... The last stage smells like a caramel, which makes me think of few perfumes, La Vie Est Belle L'EXTRAIT & La Belle by Jean Paul Gaultier.

Bijousmere

Yes, it's an amber floral.... FLORAL. I was hoping for a gourmand vanilla and caramel cake. Upon first spritz there is an almost overwhelming white floral bouquet with depth and complexity making is very warm. Reminds me of Chanel Allure to be honest. I sprayed it about an hour ago and I am still waiting for the vanilla and caramel notes.

After a few hours I can safely say this is a grown woman scent, not juvenile teeny bopper. I still can't smell vanilla or caramel, just a soft and warm floral skin scent that reminds me of chunky cable knit sweaters and dense blankets. Definitely cooler weather scent as others have mentioned. It is pleasant enough on it's own, but I know now that it will be wearable for me if I layer it with a base of vanilla oil first.

Update: Sprayed on skin at 1:15 pm. It is now 4 hours later and I am finally smelling vanilla and caramel. It is delicious and inviting. THIS is the scent I want to enjoy. So it's either wait 4 hours OR layer with another sweet fragrance first, maybe Outremer Vanille or V&R BonBon.

LiliiiS

This is not a proper review because I've just tested it once but it smelled exactly like Police Forbidden which I love but is way cheaper than this one. same yummy blend of caramel, vanilla and jasmine and eventhough not listed I can detect almond here too

Elyka21

Initially it smelled so much like purple Alien by Mugler on my skin, I couldn't believe it, just pure powerful jasmine. I thought that would be it but then after a while I started feeling the caramel and vanilla notes more and occasionally the salty, almost metallic vibes which are absolutely gorgeous. Very unique, high quality perfume with a good performance, moderate strength without being overwhelming, absolute love. I feel it goes well for every season.

Littlethingsweetpea

I'm gonna comment again because I'm about to repurchase 2 more bottles of this. The COMPLIMENTS I get when I wear this are ENDLESS. This perfume is 100% a crowd pleaser. If you adore vanilla, do yourself a favor and get this.

Acrelune

Okay, let’s be honest here.
This is really simple, no complexity at all, nothing special, nothing intriguing, BUT people will wanna BREATHE you 😂
This is a compliment getter because of how simple it is. It’s vanilla and caramel. It smells like a white chocolate dessert. And people love it.

I want it just for the compliments even though I do not see myself reflected in it at all.

Katy_Doll22

I have to say I’m obsessed and have worn it every day since I purchased a 30ml bottle.

I do understand the hypnotic poison references with this. For me that’s a good thing as it’s also another OG favorite of mine.

It’s interesting that given how simple the notes are in this how similar it smells to HP as that’s so complex.

Lasts really well on clothing, can still smells it the next day or longer.

Faverinsky

This is delish! On my skin, it doesn't smell anything like Hypnotic Poison (which I own), but it does remind me of Donna Born in Roma and Alien Goddess Intense thought, probably because my skin loves and amplifies the Jasmin, making it creamier, denser and the "main player" (along with the vanilla). I just received it this morning, sprayed on my super-dry un-moisturized skin about an hour ago and it's creamy, vanilla, caramelly, JAZMIN! Absolutely scrumptious! I can easily wear it Spring, Summer and Autumn evenings. Overall a great blind buy!!!

Heliotrope72

Rating: 😋
Do I like it: Meh
Who it is: a cook that got some salted caramel on their hand after they applied white floral perfume for a date last night
Smells I get: salted caramel, camphor accord
Meyer's Briggs type: ISFP, ISTP

On one hand, I really like this perfume and I think they did salted caramel justice. I want to lick my hand. The caramel-salt cloud projects deliciously within arms length and is quite enjoyable well into 8h of wear.
On the other hand, the jasmine note here is - though barely noticeable - a bit too camphor-y for my taste, and that's why it doesn't make A grade.

simplyelexina

holy shit i think this is the ONLY long lasting caramel perfume i have ever tried. as a gourmand lover, caramel is my all time favourite note. unfortunately for me, caramel is only present as a major note is body sprays and generally really weak perfumes, so i’ll definitely be getting a full bottle of this soon.

Sad pudding

I received a tester and it was so good, had such a rich fragrance and lasted the whole day, that I bought a whole bottle immediately. The disappointment! It's much weaker and after one hour develops to a bloodiron smell on me that I can't stand.

eevii

It's a very light, feathery scent! With a seductive, almost alluring tone, it feels like the faintest dark red lipstick mark on someone's cheek. It's sweet, and I do attract more bugs when I wear it lol so definitely not the best for the summer. It's a very cozy scent as well, so again, not spring/summer fit imo.

I have 50ml and the bottle cap tends to remove itself when I throw it in a bag with other things in it, but it never sprayed by itself so it's at most a very light annoyance you get used to. It's *super* long-lasting, it sticks on clothes like crazy. My friend hugged me right after I put it on, and smelled like the perfume days afterwards.

Deff a recommend!

Ainolilja

I think it smells like the crocs shoes.

katiesimpsonhair

This is so good! This does smell soft but it keeps on giving. It creates a nice soft sweet scent bubble that I keep catching wafts of. Since I bought this bottle it has intensified as it’s sat in my collection. It’s very addictive and edible smelling and does remind me a bit of Hypnotic Poison but with a more smoky vanilla base and more freshness. It has a beautiful eye catching bottle, the shade of red is amazing with the gold metal.

MCW7

I don't consider this strong at all. Does not seem to last very long compared to the others in this line . but a very pleasant scent . I think it's beautiful. I just wish it was a bit stronger. Does remind me of hypnotic poison a bit. But the hypnotic poison last a very long time. I would rate this a light scent. I don't even think it qualifies for moderate. Pretty much gone on the second hour or less.

Update:
I am starting to love this more and more, but find it to be an extremely light version of Eli Saab shine. I swear, I smell a nutty/pistachio note. I can definitely smell the caramel and salt now. as it set for a week. Still very similar to hypnotic poison but I just smell a nutty note maybe that's the caramel and salt together?
I am happy with my purchase
As far as the longativity, I can't really say yet as I've not given it a complete full wear, but just on my hand, it has stayed for a couple of hours now.

Ilayda Fenty

To me this smells like Baileys the alcoholic drink I dont know why it smelt like that but when the scent wear off it was fine but Im not sure I'll buy it

Edit: I love it hahahha this is my signature scent now.

grudgiee

If there's a contest to seduce a man and there are 3 women; one wearing Scandal, one wearing So Scandal and the other one wears Scandal Le Parfum, the one with Scandal Le Parfum will win the competition. This scent is super seductive and intoxicating, that salted caramel makes it smell super delicious - imagine chewing a toffee...Anyway, this scent is not weak, so do not blind buy!

Staysmellinggood

I'm surprised at how much I enjoy this one. It's cozy. I can smell all of the notes. It's a round fragrance, like I prefer. Scandal is more modern than the fragrances it's compared to.

AngelaPlat

Not bad, but I was expecting more from this one. It's nowhere near the classic, the other scandals or the belles. Sorry... I will wear it, but I don't think I'll miss it.

Vanillayumyum

It was love at first sniff, smelled and bought it instantly. It smells delicious and sexy. You get all the notes, jasmine, caramel, salt and vanilla. One of my all time favorites. Great for winter.

bonniexoxo

One of the best things I’ve ever smelt! Being a huge gourmand fan meant this appealed to me so much. It’s been on my wish list for a while. I sprayed it in the air and on paper. Sweet, sexy, feminine and bright. I really enjoyed the caramel and vanilla and the jasmine balanced them perfectly. Such a gorgeous scent!

Woodamber

I recently tried this one and Divine from JPG. And both perfumes leads me to the question; What has happened to the perfumes of JPG?
I went from loving their scents to become quite wary of anything new from them.
Scandal Le parfum, starts off with a sweet and indolic jasmine on my skin. Which felt promising but at the same time I have a good amount of perfumes with indolic jasmine so it did not make me head over heels.
Quite quickly it dries down to a sweet caramel and vanilla scent. The note of caramel makes it a tiny bit interesting in comparison to the note of vanilla. But in the end it just dries down to a sweet candylike vanilla scent that I have smelled in so many recent perfume releases lately.
Barely any sillage and moderate longetivity. I expected a scent bomb a la classique or la belle, but this is nothing in comparison.
My expectations of a perfume from JPG were definitely let down.

Cycys

Dissapointed 🥲 the opening is gooorgeous but quickly it dries down to a weak caramel note with an overwhelming salt scent.
No longevity no sillage, too bad I really had high hopes for this one

thaochipnd

Boring and nothing more.

bringprivateaccordback

I've had this for a couple of months and now I know - this is going to take its spot as my favourite fragrance of all time. intoxicating, mouthwatering, classy, sexy, flirty... just perfect. at first I just liked this a lot, but cooler weather has started to make this justice. can't stop sniffing myself when I'm wearing this. with this fragrance, I'm a queen, Nobel prize winner, Hollywood superstar, high-class escort, billionaire heiress, CEO. no one can tell me jack.

russianprincess98

Lipstick made of vanillic jasmine. How? Don't ask, it's simply that way. If the color red was a perfume, this would be it.

Super sexy and flirty, the jasmine is really dominant here. I get why people say it's similar to HP, but it's only in the lipstick vibe imo. HP (EDT) is way softer (obviously - it's EDT but she's still strong!) + more gourmand & less floral than SLP. This Scandal is more JASMINE! JASMINE! JASMINE!!!! in your face, with a vanilla icecream scent floating in the background. I envision Christina Aguilera in the Burlesque music video every time I smell this lol.

I wear it only for date nights bc daily would be too much, she's still a charm though. A sexy one 💋

Sophiè de l'Orient

A vibrant but sensual vanilla! She doesn't lack any sexiness, but I find it to be more on the playful side. Jasmine makes a brief appearance on me, after a while, the dry down is more salty than caramely - which I love because it maintains a balanced sweetness rather than an overwhelming sugar cocktail. I wouldn't suggest it for a mature skin though; its flirtiness is not timeless, I'm afraid. Its warmth suits best a chilly, winter morning - a sweet kiss on the cold, rosy cheeks!

Ihatecords

The caramel note ruins it for me

lszwed

Sultry, ultra-feminine, Y2K core floral gourmand. This fragrance smells like the tragic female lead in a high school romance drama movie from 2004. She will steal your boyfriend and eat his heart out. Girls want to be her. Guys want to be with her. She's charming, intoxicating, and tantalizing. She wears red nail polish, gold hoops, and pink velour tracksuits with "juicy" inscripted on her perfectly rounded derriere. Her lips are eternally glossy and plump but never sticky, and are always stained with the perfect shade of rouge. Her kiss tastes like a cherry blowpop; how many licks does it take to get to her bubblegum center? That's a secret she'll never tell. She will be in therapy for the next 20 years to clean out her closet full of daddy issues, but at least she will smell like a 16-year-old pretty little liar with a perfect body while doing it.

XOXO, The It Girl Perfume of Your Dreams

manz1kw3

The dry down smells like a vanilla chai latte.

Bibi_S

I don't see how this is compared to Hypnotic Poison. To me it's quite different. Sweet and vanillic but different than that. Otherwise quite a generic smell, loads of perfumes nowadays are similar to this... definitely too expensive for what it offers.

EasyLine

Ok I gotta say when my sis and I first smelled the perfume we just said "omg it smells like granma, like a cool and adventorous grandma" then I kept the perfume and soon later It became something sweet, delicious, addictive even. So yummy, I know for sure it's because the caramel and vanilla but umm such a twist it gave. Didn't like the opening but it becomes yummy i assure you that. If you love gourmand!. But as a warning if you're prone to náusea by strong and and sweet perfumes this will get you dizzyyyy. At night my head was spinning

eva.daisy.88

Caramel with a bit of vanilla, very straight forward, heavy, unoriginal. Not worth the price tag.

AinoKaroliina

In the opening I sense mostly the jasmine note but the caramel is also present right away. The jasmine note doesn't stick around for long, and the caramel gets stronger as the jasmine fades away.

The vanilla note starts to emerge pretty soon accompanying the caramel in the middle notes. Caramel is the main note in the whole perfume and it smells realistic and delicious.

The base notes have vanilla and a bit of that salted caramel in the background.

I feel like this is a bit less heavy than the original Scandal that I also own.

A gourmand perfume like this is great for fall and I really enjoy wearing it. This is a simple and cozy scent.

motherofdjembe

This is the only one of the scandal/jpg line that I love. It’s beautiful and warm and just goes well with everyday wear. Not much in the way of projection but I don’t mind and will definitely repurchase.

vanillababy111

compared to the og scandal it is way less honey, and more gourmand caramel-ish sweet vanilla, and I love how it smells. However once again comparing it to the og scandal, this one feels like it has Zero projection. I always get compliments, when wearing it, but with this one I have to put my nose on my wrists to even get a whiff of it

Ptitdinosaur

I smelt it today just because I was curious and I had to go back to buy it during the day because I couldn't stop sniffing my arm where I sprayed it. I'm already a big fan of hypnotic poison and this one is sweeter, which I really don't mind. JPG never deceived me so far, i'm really impressed !

Fragaddict4u

This smells so yummy. Like vanilla almond cookies with a slight baby powder edge. Pairs well with B&BW Almond blossom or l'occitane‘s Shea or Almond lotion.

Pentagon

When I first sprayed Scandal Le Parfum on my wrist, I thought it was an exact dupe for both Dior Hypnotic Poison and Narciso Poudree (as another reviewer said). But when I sprayed Scandal Le Parfum on one wrist and Narciso Poudree on the other, I could tell distinct differences. With Scandal, the spicy vanilla and caramel notes are prominent. But with Narciso Poudree, you get more of the cedar and patchouli notes (no vanilla). It's amazing how Le Parfum reminded me exactly of Poudree until I smelled them simultaneously to compare, which made me realize that they are subtly different. So which one should you get? Scandal Le Parfum probably is a longer lasting dupe for Hypnotic Poison, which I understand has been reformulated and made weaker. Narciso Poudree would be a good option if you want a fragrance with a similar vibe but one that is more mature and powdery. If I had to pick one, I'd pick Scandal Le Parfum because I like the sweetness and it's more versatile than Poudree, which can be strong and is ideal for cold weather only.

yess in

When I sprayed this at the mall it instantly reminded me of Narciso poudree, but the similarity was subtle so I decided to take the paper with me and let it drydown and forgot about it. I was smelling Narciso poudree in my room and just wondering where it was coming from.. u guessed it right, it was this fragrance. The dry down is just a dupe of Narciso Eau de Parfum Poudree.

sonkku

I'm not a big fan of jasmine, but this got me hooked. A warm, addictive caramel-vanilla scent with an unique twist. Lasted about 5-6 hours on my skin. Really need to get a full size bottle. I feel like I can wear it in every occasion and season, although it may be too heavy for the hottest summer days.

Gabsp28

At first when I smelt this perfume, I wasn't blown away. It's nice, the notes are the type I usually go for. The more I wear it the more I enjoy it. Its a simple, vanilla, sweet perfume, the jasmine is faint, but there. It lasts a decent amount of time, and silliage is quite good, I definitely appreciate that in a perfume. It's a good all rounder, easy to wear perfume.

cypriotsister

I just bought a backup bottle because of how much I’ve been indulging in this addictive scent. 🤍🍦🤤

Velvety smooth creamy vanilla that’s super flirty & feminine. The salt gives it the slightest kick, if anything it just amplifies the Caramel even more & gives it a fudge like feeling balanced with a beautiful creamy Jasmine 🤍 There are definitely more notes than listed, I’m also smelling ALMOND.

Perfect example of a fragrance that isn’t at all complex but has the most addictive quality about it. I can’t get enough!

Similar scent profile to a lot of fragrances I LOVE ❤️ Including Hypnotic poison, Killians’ Love & Juliet has a gun ‘mmm,’ That milky, smooth sweet feminine almost marshmallow play-doh vibe.

Anniemxx

My go to perfumes tend to lean towards floral notes and sweet scent tends to be a bit for teenagers or little girls to me. However, there’s something simple and yet addictive about this scent that just kept me coming back for more. Straightforward and direct, it reminds you of how simplicity can turn out to be appealing.

Dramaloladiva

This. Is. Delicious.
Perfect for any occasion and an absolute must for gourmand lovers. Honeyed notes of vanilla and caramel with a tinge of florals…It isn’t a bomb nor does it project monstrously but omg, what a beauty✨❤️✨❤️✨

reluceo

For me at first it smells like bubble gum. Give it a few minutes, then it will be floral. The drydown aften an hour is salty caramel and vanilla.

sotnos

At first it smelled a bit too strong, and I was hesitant if I will actually wear it. Then on the second try I was stunned by how sexy and pleasant the scent it, so I kept using it. I'd say it's better to wear it during autumn and winter, as it could be too much during summer. The longevity is also impressive, and I got a lot of compliments. If you like pleasant vanilla, sweet scents, but not like the cheap versions, this is a safe blind buy. This is that one vanilla scent you've been searching for but couldn't find.

Littlethingsweetpea

Smells sooooo addictingly good. I got this fragrance on a crusie last week and can't stop using this. It smells as though Hyptonic Poinson and Love Dont be Shy were mixed together. Mmmmmm!!!

IcyBlueLithium

I have quite the mixed feelings about this perfume.
I like wearing it, but I do not necessarily like analyzing it.
The first spritz is woody-jasmine that is quite elegant (yet not dated) and the tiniest and I mean TINIEST bit of vanilla lurking in the background.
It's very nice if you like that type of perfume. However, when it starts setting....
It gets VERY powdery. I don't like that but I think powdery-loving people will love it because it's done well.
Here's the part where it's not....the salted caramel note....the note I purchased the perfume for.
When you smell it you just know it's not salted caramel. It's salt AND caramel. Like some left over home-made caramel left in the fridge (and that's why it smells weak) and right next to it for some reason you're sniffing on a pinch of salt.

Man, I don't know how I feel about this one.

200mlEDP

This is so stunning ! I definitely feel the JPG DNA running through this fragrance , Madam and GAULTIER2 are both identifiable in this new version of Scandal . The salt note in the dry down gives it a bit of a beachy coconut vibe , without the coconut ! It’s a little grape juice vibe that G2 does so well and the jasmin at the start is so fabulously done this has become my favourite reach this winter . Performance is excellent

Dawnya7b

blind bought a full bottle. Smelled amazing at first spay. wore a it a few times. Its been about a week and I love it even more now. I had hypnotic poison but didnt love it I gave my bottle away. This is a keeper. It projects and lasts forever on skin. the opening is beautiful but the dry down is to die for. I hate when blind buys go bad so I'm super happy with this one. TOTAL WIN!

YlangLover0912

Again…the beauty of the bottle captured my attention.
It is quite overwhelming, be careful it is not to use in crowed places.
After 30 min there’s a sharpness in the caramel that I can’t tolerate.

The first impressions of this perfume are heavenly and pleasantly to enjoy with the senses.
The salted creamy accord with the Jasmin is very addictive…

Maybe would be great idea to apply it with a lotion , otherwise it can be potentially intrusive and provoke headaches.

MademoiselleMaya

Scandal that it is so simplistic yet looks so tempting...

It is pretty, warm, enveloping, feminine, performs well but the pillar is compexity queen comparing to this.

Cathped

Powdery, sweet, delicate. Got a sample of this one last summer in Paris. I like it better this year than when I received it. A nice, subtle everyday fragrance. But unfortunately doesnt project or last much. If I was to buy the full bottle it would soon be empty because of all the touch ups needed.

Nocciola23

I was excited to try this, because I love Hypnotic Poison and I found the original Scandal to be a bit too sweet for me. Well, I was disappointed :(. This is so sweet, sweeter than the original!
The dry down does have some playdough powderiness to it which is reminiscent of HP, but apart from that, there isn't too much similarity for me.
I don't mind this, it's wearable on a cold day, but it's just a bit disappointing as a flanker/new release perfume. The market for syrupy sweet vanilla caramel scents is also a bit oversaturated to justify this at its RRP.

Way too sweet. I can't even be bothered commenting on the notes. For cold winters only. If you like caramel, vanilla, with a hint of salt. I hardly get any jasmine at all, which is a shame, the one note which could've possibly saved this. A sweeter,
more boring HP which I'm not even that much a fan of. This is just off a sample. Wouldn't ever buy a full bottle of this. The bottles look so tacky to me too. Just not a fan. Not even in the coldest weather. Not sexy. Not classy. Not mysterious. Not even comforting. Just sweet, sugary sweet on me. If you like the usual sweet scents, you'll like this. Does last a long time on skin, but all sweet fragrances do on me.

mabelangel

this is 100% without a doubt my favorite scandal flanker ever! when sprayed on a test card it's much more vanilla caramel but on my skin i definitely get a fresh kick from the jasmine in the opening and then a really lovely gooey realistic (but still subtly sweet!!) vanilla mixed in with a very slight and cozy caramel. the caramel notes aren't really that sweet? at least not in the sugary sense. it's realistic and slightly buttery. i def get some jasmine however after 5ish minutes it's gone and doesn't come back. the saltiness isn't really there but it doesn't make the fragrance disappointing at all! i do get a slight medicinal scent for a small bit after it's dried down but it's not sickening or headache inducing.. it actually makes this parfum so much more prettier! this is my favourite jpg scent, it's addictive and sultry but also not too serious either? it's a perfect signature scent and i can't wait until i can buy a full bottle

edit: after a few hours it dies down into this beautiful chocolate-y scent. the vanilla and caramel are still there, but much less prominent. the perfume seems to shift from a playful white chocolate to a nice and cozy milk chocolate. it's really comfy but still feminine and cute!!

freitasv

It's my favourite Scandal flanker so far, and it's definitely on my current top 3 perfumes. It's sweet and gourmand but not at all suffocating. When you first spray it it smells like the OG, even though top notes are different, then the caramel and vanilla takes place – at least on my skin. The combo of caramel and vanilla gives me chocolatey vibes and I absolutely love it!
What surprised me the most was its longevity. When I used it for the first time I sprayed a bit on a shirt, forgot about it for 3 full weeks behind my door and guess what, it was still smelling like the fragrance. 3 full weeks. That's actually very impressive. On my skin tho didn't last that long for obvious reasons, showers and friction. Sillage was moderate considering its gourmand notes. Overall, it's a great perfume and I can't get enough.

juliacassu

Definitely my favorite Scandal flanker, so different from the rest! Worth giving a shot even if you don't care for most Scandals like I don't. I love it, can't stop smelling it. It's gourmand done right - a very sensual, not overwhelming sweetness. A quite simple and straightforward scent, beautifully done. I honestly think it's perfect. However, it's not really versatile. 100% meant for cooler weather.

ipuks3

Interesanta smarža. Gaidīju ka būs saldāka,bet nē. Man laikam traucē balzamiko nots, nezinu, bet kautkas pārsit pārējo. Vai nu arī šodien nav īstie laikapstākļi šim aromātam. Domāju ka vēsākā laikā viņas atvērsies pilnīgi savādāk.

Andy224

Smells like straight up salty caramel cheesecake. A bit reminiscent of Prada Candy for it’s powdering vibe except that this one lasts much, MUCH longer. My favorite Scandal flanker.

Peachyportia

Tried it today thinking it wouldn’t be something that I would enjoy.. I was so wrong! It’s absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful feminine fragrance. Though to me it doesn’t so much smell like the scent profile listed here. I don’t get the salt and it’s not overtly caramel. But I have only tried it once!

Catmo

I thought this would smell completely different given the notes than it actually does. I don’t understand why I’m getting an orange blossom type note with a light soapy jasmine. I get zero salt, zero caramel. I love hypnotic poison and Mmm by JHAG and those are completely different than this. I’m soo confused…
I read at least one review below saying they get Oriana and I have to agree with them. It’s a sweet marshmallowy orange blossom type scent I’m getting. What is going on!?

CharlotteD23

Absolutely love this and keep smelling on wrist! Def my fav Scandal fragrance now … overall lovely and will definitely buy - feminine and uplifting- reminds me a lot of a fragrance I had in early 2000’s - Vivienne Westwood - Boudoir.. loved it but can no longer find so will purchase this instead 🙏🏻

ughhabbie

love this. reminds me of hypnotic poison but it’s fresher and less incensey if that makes sense. hypnotic poison is a colder weather perfume but i can see this being worn in warmer weather. it’s sweet and floral and caramelly and everything i love. the longevity isn’t great but i just filled an atomiser to bring with me throughout the day and i don’t mind respraying, it’s a nice pick me up during the day.

assoula17

This just knocks it out of the park and knocks all it’s scandal predecessors dead! 😍😍😍
I didn’t detect any Jasmine, which to me is a blessing 😂 it’s mostly a delicious blend of caramel and vanilla 😍 I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist 😍😍😍
Tested this at the same time I tested Black Opium La Parfum and I found that the two share a great deal of similarities but BO is like the louder, more confident and more dominating cousin while scandal LP is the subtle, comforting, caring one.. if that makes any sense 🤷♀️

Seranity

Lovely! Oh what a different scent to the rest of the scandal line. This is gorgeous! Not cloying like the other excessive honey heavy Scandal fragrances. Totally different. Yes, very reminiscent of Dior hypnotic poison, but cheaper and goes a very long way. Hard to get here in Australia as it's really only just become available in the last couple of months, so if someone sells it it's gone in a flash. I was lucky enough to be holidaying in Fiji last month and found it there. Best buy in a long while. Wore it over everything else i had with me for 2 weeks straight. It's to me a very linear fragrance. Doesn't change its scent profile much from start to hours later. Very heavy on vanilla and caramel and yes, I get the play-do reference a little which does not repel me at all. Love it. A few work colleagues that are also frag heads are hell bent on getting their own since smelling mine. It's that beautiful and impressionable.

meel

This is one of my new favourite perfumes! It smells sort of like a combination of L'Interdit Rouge and Hypnotic Poison, which I both have and wear very frequently. It is very sweet and warm, perfect for fall and winter but I'd wear this all year round! Slightly disappointed with the projection and longevity though as it is a bit weak and doesn't last very long on me compared to some of the other fragrances I own.

Jose Zerpa

I bumped into this one while trying dozens of different scents at my local Shoppers. I had been looking for a signature scent for my new sweetheart, that didn't remind me of any old loves . I have always been attracted to sweet and seductive fragrances like Armani Code, just to name one.
She and I have been dating for little over a month now, and I don't think she's ever worn anything, or at least anything that I've been able to smell. So for her, I wanted something sweet and seductive, that makes me want to be all over her. I love the opening with that beautiful vanilla and caramel, with the hint of jasmine . So I bought it without even knowing if this was her style, but she absolutely loved everything about it: the velvety texture of the box, the sexy legs cap. and the scent itself! She also loved the fact that I had taken hours, literally, trying dozens of perfumes to come up with the right one for her.
As BF, I approve this !

DariaFrancesca74

Fragrance created in collaboration with three noses: Ane Ayo, Fabrice Pellegrin and Daphné Bugey. Fragrance with triumphant floral notes of jasmine, the main white flower of late spring, immersed in an opulent gourmand triumph of salted caramel wrapped in sweet and reassuring notes of vanilla. An impactful, ultra-feminine fragrance that some mistakenly associate with Hipnotic Poison by Dior…perhaps due to the triumphant notes of jasmine and vanilla that emerge undisturbed from the entire blend. Scandal Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier in its temporal evolution brings out unexpected balsamic notes and enveloping powdery notes. Fragrance recommended for women who like to be remembered for gourmand sweetness.

Szafirowy czar

I've smelled the tester at the airport today and liked it! I'll definitely give it a try at some point in the future as it seems like a perfect fragrance for a cold autumn/winter evening. Honestly, I'm quite surprised as I'm not a big fan of gourmand perfume and was sure that the honey note will be too much for me, but so far I'm enchanted

Hannehoney

I got this for my birthday and I absolutely love it :) This is the first from the Scandal line that I actually like and I think this one is very different from the other ones. Its like a mix of Hypnotic Poison and L'Interdit Rouge, warm salty caramel/almond accord. I will wear this in fall and winter. This will be one of my favorites :)

gorkemaksy

First spray reminded me of hypnotic poison edt too, but pretty weak for a jean paul gaultier fragrance

aldinatic

This is the only Scandal I like, its realy nice, no complaints. I have it in lotion form but I tried the perfume as well. It's realy beautiful and feminine. The packaging has also this bright red color, wow
Update:The losion provokes sneezing, it's harsh to my nose, weird

mychinarose

Sexy salted caramel with a hint of jasmine…I love it! It has a faint smell of root beer, but I think that’s also the smell of salted caramel. This is a lighter gourmand so I have no problem wearing this one in the heat, doesn’t give me a headache.

sophie sanderson

Jean Paul gautier has made some world wide known perfumes that have bn best sellers and smell rl good the prada candy perfumes I've tried a few and do they smell real good. as far as I'm concerned no they don't I would not waste my time buying any of them id say j p gautier perfumes are in a class of their own this perfume I'd say smells better than classique

gourmandlov

I love Scandal but sillage and longevity on me is weak. After 5 minutes I almost can't smell it even having my nose close to my wrist. I wonder if I am nose blind to it or if longevity/sillage is actualy weak.

AmandaBucik

I tried this at Sephora today and it smells really bad. Like something rotten and expired. But honestly i noticed that i dont like salt in any fragrance because to me it stinks

notnamai

to me it smells exactly like a meh version of hypnotic poison

Kon-nos91

Lately I am so disappointed from all 'new' releases. The perfumes aren't perfumes anymore, but more of body mists with no change in the original price and the newest flankers are either named intense or le parfum etc...I am not going to talk about reformulations or discontinuations.

The word quality looks unknown to the new generation. They all stick to sweet/florals and are really victims of insta/advertising/fancy bottles. I didn't want to start negatively my review, but from the moment L'oreal bought so many perfume houses like Lancome, Emporio Armani, Mugler...I see no difference but the same trend repeated with a few changes here and there.

Compared to the other editions, because the original Scandal was reformulated, it's the same naughty sticky honey/gardenia/patchouli bomb, but with the lasting power & sillage being not as good as they used to be, Le parfum edition is a nice release but not innovative at all. I am wondering how people compare it to Hypnotic Poison EDT? I agree, they share the same doll-like smell but Scandal Le parfum is Narciso's Rodriguez poudree hidden in another bottle, under a different name. Compared them side by side and couldn't tell the difference. Some noses here said that it reminds them of Valentina Poudre by Valentino. Coincidence? I see also Prada Candy EDP, no, Kenzo Amour, yes...kind of, as they share the same warmness of vanilla powder.

All in all, Narciso Poudree with the same 'sweetness', no salted caramel though, but more of a caramel ice-cream touch. The musk is so prominent that I am really wondering, are they trying to introduce Narciso Poudree to the younger crowds through the house of Gaultier, or what? No matter what, I can't believe that Jean Paul Gaultier let such a thing to happen. I am trying again and again but I can't say anything else. I am just shocked and happy I won't make my bank account cry due to my addiction to perfumes. The only good thing I can say is that compared to Narciso Poudree, Amour or Hypnotic Poison EDT, Scandal Le parfum can be used from any age group and it combines all the good characteristics from the mentioned perfumes. Doll-like effect from HP by Dior without being 'in your face' or almond-y, warm and sweet like Kenzo's Amour without giving oriental summery vibes, as elegant as mature Poudree can be, just slightly sweeter, less floral. THE END.

Kylix

For me this is a tuberose bomb.

Cosmina07

sex in a bottle, creamy almost soapy, clean jasmine. Fountain of honey, hot caramel and for my nose ..intimate hints of tuberose with vanilla beans.

autumnblue914

Once you spray it it's like a soapy, sweet, caramel bomb. Jasmine/soapiness is strongest in the opening and then disappears, but it does linger a bit throughout the wear. I definitely get the Hypnotic Poison vibe - I don't know if they didn't list all the notes as brands tend to do now or if the caramel/vanilla has something more unique to it, but I definitely smell the Hypnotic Poison alike almond. It's weaker than HP but it's definitely present. I don't detect any salt personally, maybe it blended with the caramel so well that I can't tell.

I'd describe this as a less dense, less heavy and less complex HP sister or cousin. Pleasant and mass appealing. It's not sickly sweet. Do wait for the price to drop though, for what it is it's way too expensive.

Majuemidio

Just tested this at the store and fell in love. I’ll be fore sure purchasing soon. The Jasmine and vanilla combo immediately reminded me of the only one intense by D&G but in a lighter version

celestial

I like almost everything about this perfume, especially the caramel and vanilla sweetness, and its similarity to Hypnotic Poison. If only it wasn't for the strong salt note, which contrasts with the sweetness, and smells a bit dirty/unpleasant.

mew_sakuya

What I am getting from this perfume at the start is My Way Parfum but not quite the same depth and roughness, it must be the jasmine, then after a while it dials back to let the caramel and vanilla out. The caramell isnt strong but it makes itself known. Goodness its so delicious that Im getting hungry!

Campestra

Sweet, creamy, soft. Not like HP at all (no almonds)

Shahrzaad

The perfect amount of sweetness for me. I want all of Jean-P Gautier fragrances. I wish they were not so expensive in my country!

Jabouba

I like this one and no to me it doesn’t smell anything like hypnotic poison or piston girl, it also doesn’t smell like Mmmmm it’s very creamy and great for Fall. Just got my bottle

Lorilor

Warm, sexy and awesome. Truly the best in the line.

Shahrzaad

My most recent acquisition and the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, and comforting.

I definitely get all the 4 notes listed, with jasmine being prominent in the first few hours and caramel and vanilla lasting all throughout the wear. I do get the resemblance to Dior Hypnotic Poison but the two scents are different enough to justify having both in your collection. This one is definitely sweeter than Hypnotic Poison, with that being very heavy on bitter almond, a note that Scandal Le Parfum lacks.

Winter would be the perfect season to wear this, so I am a little upset we are now approaching the warmer months in Tehran. The sillage and longevity on this thing are insane. Le parfum is definitely the best performing fragrance in my entire collection. In this sense the performance is definitely better than the current formulation of Hypnotic Poison.

Scandal Le Parfum is too good for everyday or office wear. Smells expensive and flirty. I will save this for special occasions for sure.

TheCandyperfumegirl

Winter is finally here and I was waiting for the perfect weather to share my review on 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 𝒃𝒚 𝑱𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒖𝒍 𝑮𝒂𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒓. As we can see from the notes this Fragrance is a bit different that the other fragrances from the Scandal line. Mostly the other fragrances from the Scandal line are heavy on Honey and white florals but in 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 there is no Fruity notes or Honey or Orange Blossom. It’s less complex and contains only four notes. But the question is; "is the fragrance really that simple?" Let’s find out!

𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐧 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎:
Upon initial Spray I get straight up Vanilla and Salted Caramel. However, the Vanilla is not generic to my nose but it’s rich and luscious. The Jasmine note becomes noticeable soon enough. With time the vanilla and the jasmine grows more and more prominent. To my nose it’s a beautiful blend of indolic jasmine with thick and rich vanilla.

𝐁𝐮𝐭, 𝐈𝐬 𝐈𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐨 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐫 - 𝐇𝐲𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧???
To be honest I didn’t find 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 similar to Hypnotic Poison on my skin but instead the opening kind of reminded me of Paco Rabanne Olympea Intense. Although, that’s only for a fraction of a time. Mostly this smells like a beautiful blend of indolic Jasmine and thick Vanilla with hints of delicious Salted Caramel on my skin.
However, previously I sniffed this on the skin of my dear frag-sister Maliha Nawal it actually reminded me of Hypnotic Poison but a more flirty and youthful version. In fact my husband asked her if she was wearing Hypnotic Poison that day as he is too familiar with the smell because Hypnotic Poison is one of my most favourite fragrances and I use it every now and then.
So, I guess it’s safe to say that the fragrance actually has some similarities with Hypnotic Poison. Hence, if you love fragrances like Dior Hypnotic Poison, Juliette has a gun MMMM… or maybe even Paco Rabanne Olympea then you’ll love this for sure.

𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞?
From my personal experience I don’t think 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 smells anything like the other scandal perfumes. I’m personally not a fan of scandal Fragrances and I only love So Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier. But 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 is totally different. It doesn’t have that dense Honey note which doesn’t go with my skin chemistry also it doesn’t have those overdosed white florals which usually triggers my Migraine. In fact the perfectly balanced Jasmine and Vanilla combination smells heavenly to my nose.

𝐈𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐡...
If you love all other fragrances from the Scandal line and are hoping for a heavier version then truthfully, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re like me and don’t feel comfortable with the other fragrances from the line then this one is a must have for you. Even if you’re a fan of the Scandal fragrances you’ll love 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 too as it’s totally different and it’s a collection worthy floral gourmand fragrance.

𝐈𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫…
Yes, Yes and Yes. This is absolutely a crowd pleaser and a head turner Fragrance. It’s sweet, sexy, bold and this will make you feel confident. Whenever I wear this I get tons of compliments. It’s a mass appealing Fragrance and if you want to get noticed this is what you should reach out to.

𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞
𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 creates a beautiful scent bubble around the wearer and keeps projecting even after 6-7 hours. It’s extremely long lasting and stays on the clothes even after washing it. And trust me I’m not over exaggerating! This is a really beast mode fragrance that lasts forever. You’ll leave a beautiful scent trail too.

𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
Personally I will not recommend this Fragrance for office, meeting, class or interviews. It’s a fragrance you should wear only for special occasions. Like for a romantic date, Wedding, Parties or Intimate moments. It’s really an attention grabber and it screams sexiness 😝

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞…
So, the first time I tried this fragrance, I was a bit sick that day, therefore, I didn’t spray this on my skin but sprayed a little on the hem of my dress. Later I came back home and the next day while washing my clothes I was smelling something sweet and vanilla-y. I was confused yet I continued doing my household chores and eventually it clicked in my mind that I had sprayed this on the dress. I went back to check my dried dress and yes it was still there! And the smell was so amazing that I went to my closet and sprayed this fragrance and then I called my friend Sana Grey and thanked her for recommending this Fragrance to me. She was so sure that I’ll love this Fragrance and how right she was!
The Next day I went out with my Frag-Sister Maliha (you should check her page Nawal's Artistas' ’) and once she got into the car my husband asked her are you wearing Hypnotic Poison? So she made me sniff her wrists and asked my thoughts. On her skin this really smelled a lot like Hypnotic Poison. Later that day after 5-6 hours when we were coming back home after dinner, I could still smell her perfume but this time it smelled more like a Jasmine and Vanilla combination. Now you can guess an idea how long lasting and how gorgeous this Fragrance is!

𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞…
I’m sorry for this extremely long post but I couldn’t control myself from sharing my whole experience with you all. I absolutely love and cherish this fragrance. And I highly recommend 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒎 for every gourmand fragrance lover. In fact, I believe the brand could have used a new packaging and release this Fragrance as a new pillar fragrance. But still the bottle is gorgeous, the smell is outstanding and the performance is unbeatable. I’m really happy with my purchase and I’ll be rocking this Fragrance this Winter In Sha Allah!

Iristhenurse

I literally just bought it.I have too many floral perfume in my collection so I am craving sweeter scents.
The velvet box was absolutely gorgeous! I can’t throw it away as it’s too beautiful. This is one of the most aesthetic designs I have seen. Love the look of it 😩
The scent is as sweet and simple as I expected, also strong, just as I expected by reading reviews. I was looking for a caramel-based perfume and this was my blind buy. I like the fact that it’s simple and minimalist when it comes to ingredients. Sweet, warm, sexy and more mature kinda scent. Perfect for autumn but I’m using it for summer atm. The first spray was like “😯” ! Because I often dislike the top notes of most perfumes but I liked the smell as soon as I sprayed it on my skin. But then it will get to a stage where it smells like play dough which I dont like but then it goes away. Jasmine wasn’t actually too prominent for me, caramel and especially vanilla are. When it settles you smell more vanilla and depends on who you are, I can imagine others dislike the vanilla note as it might seems a bit synthetic. Sillage is really good and does last a decent time. Lucky blind buy for me.
Funny story. My Uber driver asked me if I have cookies with me because of this perfume 🤣.Well besides Jasmine I guess the rest of the ingredients can be in the oven! I also have great compliments wearing this perfume. DO NOT BUY IF YOU DONT LIKE SWEET SCENTS!

Beanie1991

Clean, warm, comforting, sexy, and sweet. The dry down is the best vanilla ever. The salt gives it that comforting element to it.

cypriotsister

Velvety smooth creamy vanilla that’s super flirty & feminine. The salt gives it the slightest kick, if anything it just amplifies the Caramel even more & gives it a fudge like feeling balanced with a beautiful Jasmine 🤍

Perfect example of a fragrance that isn’t at all complex but has the most addictive quality about it. I can’t get enough! Bought an 80ml but now want a 30ml just to carry around with me! ❤️

SIMILAR scent profile to a lot of fragrances I love but not the same..❤️Including Hypnotic poison, Killians’ Love & Juliet has a gun ‘mmm,’ That milky, smooth sweet feminine almost marshmallow play-doh vibe.

PollyP123

I’m really surprised not to see people saying this but to me this is straight up Dr Pepper! I can definitely understand the comparisons with Hypnotic Poison which also smells like that to me, but this is more wearable and less likely to choke people around you. I really enjoy it, it’s sweet, but as it settles I get the balsamic and salt notes which take it away from being childish. It’s quite light for a EDP, I don’t think it’ll last long on my skin, but I can see this being a new favourite.

tiger_eyes_

I love So Scandal so not surprised I adore this one as well. While the former is sharper Le Parfum has a softer, more grounded feel to it. The jasmine, the caramel and the vanilla are a great combo but that salt note is everything. It gives this perfume a certain edge and depth. It's a beautiful and feminine fragrance.

Kizzyb93

This is one of my favourites from the scandal line
Looking at the others that I am, they are very much so Honey-beast mode, this one is not
This one is more of a salted caramel type fragrance this is very beautiful and I absolutely love it.
I don’t know if I get Jasmine in this, but there is a floral in the background that’s just making this a little bit more rounded.
So what I wore this a few weeks back, I went out and kept to get in beautiful whiffs of it as I was getting on with my day, got many compliments.
This one lasts forever. It doesn’t leave the skin until you have bathed all showered.
I wouldn’t say this is unique as I have had a few that are similar to this one however, this one projects and it is long lived.
This is one that you would wear on a date night Valentine’s Day is just gone, but this would have been perfect for Valentine’s Day. Believe me men love this all the compliments that I got were from men with a being my partner, his friends or people in the street.
I repeat this is one of the best and probably most safe out of the whole scandal line. So if you don’t like the original it is still worth trying this one because they are completely different.

l_02mx

A very nice, well blended, caramel and white floral scent. Vanilla doesn’t stand out to me as much. It’s thick though and could potentially be cloying in warmer weather. To me, smells more higher end than designer which I enjoy. Arguably the best flanker. Safe blind buy if this is your profile. Great longevity and projection.

Lottieetbelle

Ooo she’s soft!

Caramel translates as powdery on me. I’ve learnt to embrace that with my other caramel noted perfumes (prada candy et al.) So, this is a fluffy, powdery caramel concoction with a soft jasmine peeking through.

Odd that she’s called Le Parfum, since compared to her jpg siblings, in terms of longevity and projection, she whispers, rather than shouts.

Very similar to JHAG mmm if you’re still wondering about the vibe of this.

ETA: I’ve enjoyed layering this with Burberry Her. Cute!

noahwjperry01

SO gorgeous!!! This scent hasn't left my mind since I smelled it last month at the store. To me, this is everything I wanted from Hypnotic Poison (even though, I still love HP, its a favorite!) Scandal Intense EDP is just WOW! So gorgeous, so gourmand, the warmth and sweetness is there and definitely for an audience of those who like gourmand, but not the celebrity young fragrances. I get a lot of the caramel, almond, and vanilla, with a hint of the florals. The floral adds the femininity, and its just perfect. This paired with any basic vanilla to up the gourmand would be amazing as well.

Kittykatkin

Instant love. Like a warm hug in a bottle, but a little bit sexy too. Similarities with HP certainly but different enough for sure to own both and I do, but I love this more! There are definitely more notes in this than the ones listed, not that they’re not the stars because they are, but I’m sure there’s something like sandalwood in the dry down and there’s a little honey in here too, which along with the caramel is the only similarity to the original Scandal. Sillage isn’t huge but it’s fast becoming my most complimented perfume and it lasts ages for me.

Edit: the more I wear this and having worn HP recently too, the more different they are. I find this much more wearable.

hollyamelie

This is such a beautiful perfume - jasmine drenched in caramel sauce. Sexy, feminine and sweet, but also versatile and light enough to wear everyday.

If you have Mmmm by JHAG, you don't need to buy this. They're very similar, not entirely the same but certainly too similar to own both. It's also similar to Hypnotic Poison, but much nicer and less synthetic in my opinion.

It pains me to say this because it's such a stunning scent, but the longevity is really terrible, and it hardly projects at all. I so wanted this not to be the case as I read this in reviews before buying, but they were right. Terrible lasting power. :( It fares a little better sprayed on clothing compared to skin, at least. I know I'll be getting through my bottle very quickly and even though I LOVE the scent, I won't be repurchasing as I'm really not impressed by how fast it disappears.

SailorV

I'm not the biggest fan of Scandal, but I still tried all the flankers. This one is my favorite so far, along with Scandal a Paris. While that one is a light, fresher version, Le Parfum is as rich, sweet and opulent as the original, but in a different way.
There is a touch of the honey-infused Scandal DNA in this, but the sweetness here is less sticky and the honey gets tamed by the other notes. It feels very smooth and quite floral. I don't just smell the listed jasmine, but also some tuberose, and I saw it listed on some other websites so it might really be there. The caramel in this is very creamy without any burned aspects and only a little touch of salt. Vanilla rounds it all out.
A lot of people compare this to Hypnotic Poison, but I don't really get it. The vanilla might be similar, but HP has so much almond, a rubbery note and even some spices, all which Scandal LP doesn't have. Instead it's much more floral and a bit honeyed. Weirdly I get a hint of Black Opium in the opening (without the coffee), but that vanishes away in the drydown.

At first I wasn't too impressed by this, I thought it was just another unremarkable sweet designer floral on a vanilla base. A weak like, nothing more. But it really grew on me while testing. If I had a smaller collection, I'd buy it. I think it's the subtle salted caramel and the super smooth blending! Also, this is the type of perfume that gets better the longer its on.

russianprincess98

This perfume just screams SEXY! I love love loveeeeee this scent. It smells like a vanillic jasmine full of caramel + lipstick. But an expensive one 💋
Also: long-lasting on my skin but projection is average but I still love it anyway❣️

blake.lee

This smells more like the first Hypnotic Poison in the rubberized bottle than the current reformulated version from Dior does. Really pretty Jasmine and almond scent with the added caramel a fantastic touch. The caramel not so prominent it becomes cloying and sticky. Waiting patiently for the American release and savoring my sample.

Edited to add: I could no longer wait so procured a bottle from France. My goodness it’s wonderful! I still have perhaps 10ml left from the very original HP I purchased when I wasnt legal drinking age yet, a very, very long time ago. I sprayed this on one arm and my precious OG on the other. The similarity is uncanny. The only really difference is the OG has a touch of smokiness to it this one does not and the OG lasts for days while this last hours. I’m still happy though. Very happy!

This does not smell like Hypnotic Poison but it smells like my high expectations for it. To me it is what I imagined HP would smell like after so many people raving about it. Hypnotic poison smells very much like play doh to me and it is not a beautiful scent but this one has all that warmth that I expected from it.I was surprised. Scandal Parfum is amazing. Also I feel like Scandal and the Scandal Parfum smell quite similar to each other. So Scandal in the other hand is totally different. EDIT: I have now sprayed this on several times in store. I feel like this is a less loud and less nauseating version of all Scandals ever made. The scent dries down to a very lotion like smell. Some people say they do not smell almonds but I definitely do. I smell more believeable almonds rather than weird synthetic ones I get from Hypnotic Poison. However this does not really project. It is quite intimate on me. My own little feelgood secret and I like it that it does not smell parfumey. This is expensive and LEGS are hideous but I think I will buy myself a leggless 30 ml version. Who knows when I am going to come across another believable almond scent.

stephanienwc

This is quite wonderful. A mix between So Scandal and JPG's La Belle. It's deeper and has that same pear note as the classic La Belle. There are only 4 notes listed above but there is definitely more complexity than suggested. Great performance too.

RoGo72

My favorite of the Scandal line. If you’re a lover of Hypnotic Poison, you’ll smell the similarity immediately. The addition of the caramel note makes this a much richer fragrance than HP. The projection is decent, but the longevity wears off on me after about the 4th hour. When I want it to last longer 6-8 sprays does the trick! I purposely bought the 1 oz bottle, because I’m not a fan of the legs, but other than that it’s a solid scent! Probably my all time favorite from JPG!

Beefraglover

Smells so delicious. An instant love for me! Sweet yummy caramel but sophisticated.

PuppyFever

Salted caramel Hypnotic Poison EDT mixed with Prada Candy's powdery aspects and a touch of salty jasmine. If you didn't already own the latter, or if you are interested in this scent profile and are seeking a change, then this is a great choice.

tsubaki3031

You could call this Hypnotic Poison Le Parfum.

Salted caramel, velvety vanilla with a prominent jasmine accord. This is fantastic and only slightly reminds me of the Scandal line. You can smell each note and a couple more and if it's still available I will repurchase one day.

It smells like an intense Hypnotic Poison, denser and unctuous in texture. No matter what season I do feel this is better for night time as it's quite sexy. Not just flirty, this girl wants something.

Alexandra.kom

This perfume has something plasticky to it and I’m guessing it’s from the salt! On my skin i get a salty jasmine which weirdly is not that bad! Besides that i think it smells like lipstick well made! I dont mind wearing it but I don’t know if i like it more from the original!

lorna.1

What I love about this fragrance is the lack of tuberose, which is ever-present and distracting in Hypnotic Poison and MMMM! This is a warming fragrance with good lasting power and a moderate sillage. Once I tried it, I bought a 30ml, and it's undoubtedly a little fling for me.
A sexy autumn/winter scent that will keep you warm and pleasing to cosy up on a night you want to Netflix.

User123

Smelled it on paper strip yesterday, JPG seems to always get it right!

Siv7Stars

It does hint at HP play-doh but doesn't actually go there.. not for me anyway, which is good because I hate play-doh. Feel begins cool, a vanilla caramel/fudge/tablet (scottish sweet) the jasmine lifts it out of being just confectionary, bit of salt.. turns slightly warmer, then POFF! there it was gone! Doesn't last on me at all. & it's not being nose blind, absolutely no-one I know can smell it on me after about ten minutes either. Which is a great shame because I really like it, for the 3 pico seconds it sticks around. Chemistry/dry skin/whatever. I will think of it as my little snowflake, perfectly formed, chilled, melts as it warms n then evaporates like melted frost. A sweetness of floral icing sugar, dusting.. blown away by the slightest gust of chilly air. I've burnt through half a bottle in a couple of weeks. I doubt I will repurchase on account of the longevity issue (which lives up to it's name!) but it is lovely. So Scandal drydown feels similar n that lasts a bit longer btw

arielover

As said in the previous review, everyone's skin chemistry is different and I do get the hypnotic poison comparisons, but it smells like HP's less sophisticated and to be frank, cheaper cousin. I unfortunately blind bought this, based on the HP comparisons, which was a mistake, as on me this smells cheap and has almost no longevity. If you want something within a similar price range, with a similar DNA as HP, go for L'interdit rouge IMO.

Zana1970

Everybody has a different skinchemistry, so don't judge the perfume on his longevity or projection...you just have to try it out!
I tried it out, and on me it was heaven, the smell and longevity and projection...I am satisfied, and that is what matters.
I am now only buying what I can test...I did some blind buys, some where a success and some a dissapointment, only for their projection or longevity!

By the way..did not like other scandals, too juvenile for my taste, I liked so scandal, but disapeared after 15 minutes..so tbis is mine scandal! 🥰

Kuty22

I'm so annoyed at myself for buying - JHG Mmmm - instead of this one 😭😭😭
I've tried it and this is waayyyyyy better

BougieGirlShops

This is my first Scandal fragrances. I decided on this one because I've been looking for a salted caramel scent. "Blind bought" this by exchanging some points and based on the reviews, it seemed like it would be right up my alley. I also love jasmine, so I should like it from beginning to end.

I think I need to test this a few more times. On me, and to my nose, it's a jasmine bomb for HOURS. I know the opening was jasmine and I was prepared for that, but I was waiting for the eventuality that it would calm down and reveal the salted caramel. I don't know how long it took, but I woke up in the morning with a very light caramel scent. However the prominent jasmine lasted at least 4 hours for me before I went to bed.

Having said all that, the velvet box and bottle are stunning so the aesthetics probably earned it an extra star for me.

mistergeorgeyan

I got it for my bday a few months ago. My first impression --- a very sweet vanilla sugar bomb, giving me a "Victoria Secret" vibe with a hint of Jasmine. I would say this reminds me of "Prada Candy", less Caramel with more Jasmine. Regarding the silage, just like every Jean Paul Gaultier Perfume, its strong and lasts for 3 to 4 hours so perfect for a date. However the composition could be more innovative and i do wish they come with a bigger size. Do I love it ? Absolutely.

Mino Cappucino

Why is no one talking about the absolutely dismal longevity and sillage !?!?!?!
Yes it smell good but why pay that kind of coin for a perfume that is BARELY noticeable in 2 hrs max?
I love the scent but there is no way I’m spending money on bottle that can’t even out perform bath and body works body mists!

sisii

This is a delicious caramel, vanilla scent and the salt gives the fragrance a bit of edge. I do think this would be perfect for a winter date night or a night out in general. This is very sexy and I feel like the scent would perform better in colder weather. I understand the hypnotic poison comparison however I do think scandal le parfum deserves to be recognised as it’s own scent. Definitely my favourite out of all scandals and I can not wait until I get to wear this.

Rozalina

Smells like a more blah version of the Hypnotic Poison EDT. It has more presence on my skin than the EDT but less of whatever it is that makes HP special (even though I personally prefer the HP EDP over the EDT, but that's besides the point).

Wiktoriaaaz

Okay definitely very floral, not same at all to HP. It’s in a similar scent category yes, but it’s definitely it’s own fragrance. It’s nice, but not revolutionary. Kind of meh. Doesn’t project loudly either, we’ll see how it lasts. I got a 10ml sampler so I’ll wear it to work today and see how I feel..

After 8 hrs, I almost finished the full 10ml.. lol. No lasting power. Very very meh. I usually get compliments at work, nothing today :(

rainme

Anyone know when this will be available in Australia?

Lalunalynn

I do get the comparison with Hypnotic poison, but clearly those people who think it's a ringer did not smell the OG from the 90s! This is but a whisper of what that was. BUT, it has ignited my love for HP and I have to seek it out again, tho I know it won't be the same as it once was... Anyway, back to this! I love it. Wow, that opening literally made my eyes roll back! Stunning caramel and vanilla bomb, so divine. I just wish it lasted way longer than a few seconds. The dry down is softer and it smells just like the taste of the salted caramel fibre One 90 breakfast bars. Gorgeous! It also has a teeny touch of a vanilla candle at this point, which I wish it didn't, so the vanilla could be done better. The far dry down, for me, is a very soft HP, and I love it. I also get Prada Candy with this, and Vanderbilt. Anyway, this is fbw and I will be getting one very very soon. Divine!

Andrita

Where can I find this in the US? I cannot find it!

raycyj

bought this today and it already has me in a chokehold ... omg ... the opening on this perfume is to d!e for!!!! sooo sweet, so caramel-y. the dry down's powdery, soft, creamy, sweet. the dry down kind of reminds me of Dior's Poison Girl, but this one's cozier. have yet to test longevity and sillage, but I'll update my review as soon as I get a verdict

Annette73

I love it .Its soft and sweet perfect for everyday wear . For me its the best of the scandal ligne .

Amanda Palagina

Don’t like this it has a strange twang maybe from the salt note and this cannot be compared to hypnotic poison that is a far more complex sent , this is to powdery , nothing groundbreaking here

Andrews22

Such a beautiful sweet caramel scent
It’s heaven I absolutely love it but I must admit I do prefer the original scandal. Can’t wait for Christmas because this perfume is one of my presents

anna68de

It's sharp and sexy. Scandal DNA but I think Scandal le parfum is more simple, sharper and not sweet as the OG. I can imagine a young, cheerful, sexy woman in the club when I smell this perfume. It's also very loudly and easy to use.

wondervalley666

Regarding a review below that said this is just like Oriana by PDM-they are nothing at all alike. I’m wearing Oriana now. Like, absolutely nothing about it and and Scandal Le Parfum are even remotely similar. The JPG scent that smells most like Oriana is Classique Pin Up, also the Classique Cabaret flanker. I own both of those as well, and they smell like Oriana but perform a LOT better, last way longer, and project more.

As for scents that are cheaper but smell similar to SLP, I just received a bottle of La Perlas White Iris, which I’ve tried twice now and both times reminded me of this scent very strongly. My bottle of Scandal Le Parfum was ordered new and sealed from a top vendor and I could not understand why Le Parfum smelled so different from what I imagined based on the notes. Now I see that in Le Parfum, like all JPG frags, they don’t list all the notes. There are definitely a strong iris and almond in Le Parfum. That note combo tends to create a “play doh” scent on my skin. White Iris by La Perla is similar but lacks the vanilla caramel notes of Le Parfum, though those notes are so subtle and powdery in this scent, I could barely read them on my skin. White iris is currently selling for $30-40 for a large bottle on eBay as it’s getting discontinued, so if you like this scent but are interested in something with a bit less sweetness and more “makeup” give White Iris a try.

Dottie's Hoomum

Oh, my! What a BOMB! There is nothing subtle about this perfume. I tested it yesterday, spraying some on my wrist and some on my coat sleeve. The coat has since been in the washing machine and dried outside … the smell has just about gone. So I tried this perfume because I still love variations of the original JPG Classique. And I used to love the original Dior Hypnotic Poison. So many reviews mention that as comparable to this, so at first sniff, I was in love. But after half an hour, Scandal Le Parfum had become the latest interpretation of Hypnotic Poison. I doubt a lot of people could tell these apart. Both sadly synthetic, headachey and syrupy. Disappointed. Wish HP could be reproduced as it was in the nineties.☹️ Never mind. We all have different tastes, and loads of people love this.

Controlledbyscent31

If ypu like oriana from parfum de marly but can't justify the price for the longevity buy this instead this is so similar. I will be buying a bottle when it's cheaper 😍

Lily Frag

When I first tried this perfume at Boots I had to have it. It’s beautiful, sultry, sweet, feminine and seductive. Hubby loves it and thinks is very sexy.
It does remind me of hypnotic poison (maybe a little less complex).
it has a decent projection and lasting power but it’s not a beast!

I just hope the price goes down so I can get a backup before they discontinue it, because let’s face it they always discontinue good stuff.

Tessa03

This is really pretty. I am glad I blind bought it regardless of the poor reviews. I agree with another review saying they smell tuberose. This smells like sweet, caramel tuberose. When I smell the cap straight from my bottle of So Scandal and then do the same with Scandal le parfum - I can definitely smell the similarities. They wear differently - So Scandal more fruity with the raspberries but I can see the relation between Scandal le parfum with So Scandal. It also smells similar to Hypnotic Poison but I actually prefer Scandal le parfum. I am happy a have a bottle of this in my collection.
PS - Longevity & sillage both very good on me. Not sure why so many people are calling this weak. I sprayed 1 spray on my wrist and could smell it for hours.

jayznar

What the good hell, yall. I am not understanding the reviews saying this is basic, this is generic, this is just like hypnotic poison... etc etc.
Seriously try this, I was pleasantly suprised by how this smells. I may be biased because the scandal line and JPG in general impresses me because it is designer with AT LEAST some character and lasting power. I also may be biased because I LOVE ROOT BEER FIZZY VANILLA SODA SCENTS!
This also just has that BAM factor in your face with strong gorgerous sweet florals like the rest of the line, but this is the creamiest yummiest one tbh.

It has that cozy vibe like Hypnotic Poison but power like Scandal. It's sooooo sexy and yummy and creamy. UGHHHHHH! This shot UP on my list as a MUST BUY. 🔥🔥🔥👀👀👀🥰🥰🥰

wondervalley666

Hmm... I don't know about this one. I paid a lot to buy this from europe as it isn't widely available in the US. I'm a big Scandal by Night fan and own the original Scandal and So Scandal as well. This is different from the other 3 versions. It lacks the eternal patchouli honey musk in the original. It isn't fruity musk and tuberose-heavy like By Night. It isn't a milky tart raspberry bomb like So Scandal. It's much softer and more intimate than the other 3 flankers. It's more of a skin scent. I mostly get a soft vanilla, with a slight dose of caramel and a little less jasmine. It's not coming off as salty to me. I've never been a fan of Dior scents as most of the popular ones come off very sharp and headache-y to me. I've sampled all the Poison line and nothing here made me think of any of those scents. But there is a kind of play doh in this scent that I believe is what all the other reviewers are mentioning when they reference Hypnotic Poison. I like the way this smells much more than HP. I like the way this smells much more than So Scandal as well. But this isn't the most unique scent and it isn't a great performer. I will need to wear this a bit before I make up my mind, but initial test left me with the impression of "kind of nice, but sort of a ::shrug::"

I'd say this would appeal to semi sweet-but not realistic gourmand-perfume lovers who prefer softer scents that are sweet but more so floral or makeup-y, such as those who like Hypnotic Poison, Black Opium, Bon Bon, D&Gs Only One, etc. I get the comparison to L'Interdit Rouge as there is a similar note or two, but that's a much stronger richer scent, this is a light body spray compared to that, and it lacks the spicy ginger fruity vetiver-type notes in Rouge, so I would say this is safe to try if you didn't like Rouge as it's quite different. To me, Rouge occasionally makes me smell like a glass of root beer. This is more like a glass full of vanilla ice cream with a tiny splash of root beer, with much less sugar.

I know JPG doesn't list all the notes in his scents, I swear theres a tiny touch of patchouli in this that comes through in the dry down. I mostly get a powdery caramel vanilla with a tiny touch of patchouli musk. I don't own/wear many patchouli scents as I dislike that note in most scents, but as with the original Scandal it doesn't bother me here and it's MUCH softer in Le Parfum than OG Scandal. As this scent sits on my skin longer it smells better. Fresh on clean skin, it's underwhelming and a bit synthetic. Once it mixes with my own skin oils and natural scent, it smells nicer and more addictive. I'd probably consider this scent for date nights or casual occasions when I don't want a loud scent.

Overall, I'd say it's good, nothing extraordinary, not completely original, but will surely be loved by many people as this scent/these types of scents seem to be so popular now. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are looking for something very similar to OG Scandal or any of the other flankers. They're all pretty different from each other, but this one is a big departure from the original.

UPDATE: I ended up reselling my bottle. The scent turned to pure play-doh on my skin, didn't even smell anything like perfume and had no caramel sweetness. Seems like it would work better with other people's chemistry, it smells nicer on my clothing, but yeah, after an hour this was just a waxy weird clay smell on my skin. I felt like I spent the day getting dirty in a sculpture class and needed a shower. Bummer.

sweet_teenagedream

I got a tester with my Jean Paul Gaultier order, do I decided to try it. When I first sprayed it, I knew it reminded me of something, I immediately opened fragrantica and low and behold, a lot of people shared that thought😄 To me this is very similar to Dior hypnotic poison, though It differs slightly. Let’s say 90% same. The lasting power is okay, nothing crazy, maybe 3 hours. The silage is quite nice, its not constantly around you like a cloud, but when you move a certain way, you get that lovely whiff of it. I still absolute prefer hypnotic poison, but maybe I’m a tad bit biased, cause it’s one of my absolute faves😆

Le Parfum gives off the same vibe, being warm, powdery and very cozy🥰 I guess it’s down to your preference. Now that I’ve sprayed it a couple of times, I feel like I can pick up the a bit of the salt-caramel note, but it disappears very quickly and on my skin and just dried down to a 90% hypnotic poison dupe.

To me this would be an easy-reach type of fragrance, it the cold and cozy months or to just wear at home and bundle up with some nice tea or coffee😍 Due to the fact, that I already love and own hypnotic poison, i wouldn’t really go out of my way to get this fragrance, but still really feel like, you could own both.

No, I definitely want to get this now☺️

aspirina

I like it because it feels familiar in a very good way. It reminds me of Alien essence Absolue with a touch of hypnotic poison. The main note here is jasmine, surrounded by a salty, sweet element, call it caramel and vanilla.
I think this is a very heady and sexy scent, full bottle worthy if you loved AEA and HP.
No almond, no licorice, just jasmine, tons of jasmine, salted caramel and vanilla.

Update: in the late drydown it reminds me of Givenchy L'interdit rouge...oh well...at some point it also smells like an intense version of Armani Code...
Now I don't know what to think of this perfume, what an impostor and a shifter! fortunately I love all these scents it reminds me off...
Little ruby weirdo, I think I would miss it when I finish my bottle, it is like wearing many of my favorite scents at once :)

Princessy

I do clearly see the comparison with Hypnotic Poison, i've test them at the same time, they have the same opening but become a little bit different after 15min ish. They are very similar, except that Scandal Le Parfum doesn't have the licorice/sharp note that the Dior one have.
This one is brighter and could be the day time version of Hypnotic Poison.
As an Hypnotic Poison fan I was going to purchase it, the smell was almost gone on my skin after only an hour. I hope that the longevity would be better on clothes

Slave2scent

Firstly, I am in love with this perfume, it's just what I've been searching for, I can't get enough! I do get the comparisons to Hypnotic Poison, it has a lot of similarities, but it doesn't smell the same to me. I own both perfumes. It has a similar vibe, Hypnotic Poison is warmer, scandal le parfum is still warm, but a bit brighter if that even makes sense, I prefer Scandal le parfum so much more, especially because Hypnotic Poison doesn't last or project at all on me, it's a skin scent quickly and then completely disappears within a couple of hours. This beauty projects a fair amount, and lasts so long, I can put it on in the morning and I can still smell it on myself when I finish work. Lasts on clothes for days and days. Since I bought this I have not reached for any other perfumes, I only want to wear this, it makes me feel happy.

KöbiD

Just after spraying, caramel and vanilla are the most noticeable notes to me. Once the fragrance dried down and the sweetness calmed down, the jasmine finally gets a chance to shine. I guess one could call this fragrance generic because it smells just like any caramel-centric and overly sweet perfume of our time.

duftduft

Hypnotic Poison + Caramel Candy.
The beginning reminds of HP, it´s a powdery Vanilla with White Florals and a subtle sweetness.
When it settles down the Caramel becomes more and more prominent and gives the fragrance a sweet and salty vibe. It´s an aspect that HP lacks. So, If you love the smell of Caramel, go spray yourself with this!

Pinspatternsandpolish

I got a sample of this with a purchase and it's not what I expected! I'm not overly familiar with JPG fragrances, I only have a mini of the original Scandal and this feels like quite a departure from that. Upon first spray I was immediately hit with Dior Hypnotic Poison vibes. But Scandal Le Parfum has a prominent Jasmine note which sets this fragrance apart.

I don't think it's worth picking this up if you already have Hypnotic Poison. It is a nice scent. Not as strong as I was expecting considering it's a parfum.

OlgaOT

I got a sample of this one with my order and it is a pleasant surprise! Quiet and comforting vanilla (and it is difficult for me to find vanilla that I like). I cannot imagine wearing this in public as to me it just feels intimate and more appropriate for a quiet time at home with a book. It’s sweet but not cloying. On me sits close to skin. Overall really not bad. I get the comparison to Poison Hypnotic edp which people below are talking about, but this one just feels slightly happier if that makes sense. Also I pick up caramel from top notes but only if spray more than once.

Lianne311211

I've smelt poison, I didn't get poison vibes from this to be honest. This perfume is warm, but also slightly violet. The opening you get the typical scandal DNA but with a bit of caramel, I own so scandal and I'd say that smells quiet sharp and fruity. Le parfum is more cosy but not deep it's quite light, light but cosy. The jasmine you smell from the opening to the dry down, the dry down is different to the opening however, in my opinion I get more white florals from it, I sprayed my arm at just gone 3pm and it's now 9pm I can smell it slightly, I kept smelling it thinking the dry down reminds me of something I own and I remembered! This perfumes dry down is a dupe for Zara white gardenia (which I love), it's very feminine and sweet but I just get violet vibes not that I'm complaining but it's not what I expected. Sillage for me is decent but I'm over sprayer so everything smells super strong on me.

DanielJD

Sweet, slightly Salty with a beautiful Vanilla base, BUT! There isn’t anything Scandalous about the scent, I reiterate, it’s absolutely heavenly… so where is the Scandal? Longevity, the longevity is an absolute SCANDAL. £83 for 50ML, for a fragrance that needs to be sprayed around 20 times for it to only last 20 minutes and that’s me being generous. Such a shame, I adore Gaultier's original 2017 Scandal Pillar and I can’t say I dislike any of the Flankers either, including this one, but, again, the longevity just isn’t there.

Roos88dutch

I love this but only because it’s a stronger version of hypnotic poison .
Even next to each other the smell pretty similar. Only differents to me is scandal is way more longlasting . In the drydown you can smell the Jasmin a bit . It’s a real cosy vanilla bomb , i really thought i could smell almond and I really wonder why its not listed as a note . It has te same play dough feeling .
i keep my 30ml bottle for fall , great scent but too full and sweet for summer for me even for summer evenings too Much .

Miruna

White floral gourmand. I kind of like it. Not unlike the rest of the line, it is strong.
It is not unique, it follows the sweet trend, but it's well made and mass appealing. Definitely "top 10 sexy" worthy - if you watch youtube reviews you know what I mean.
I absolutely love the bottle.

HYLAS

I got haunted carnival vibes from this perfume . . . something about those dusky, eerie, burnt-sugar notes. The intensity of Scandal took me completely off-guard, and I'm not quite sure how to feel about it.

The perfume opens with a very potent concoction of syrupy candied jasmine (smells more like gardenia to me). As the floral notes fade, the lingering honeyed scent is thick and heady, almost bordering on sickly in the same way a fresh gardenia flower can appear if you inhale too deeply.

To me, Scandal walks a fine line between enticing and nauseating. There is a certain maturity to the musky undertone I wouldn't usually go for, but to me this is a floral note done well. Definitely gourmand - a little too much so for my personal tastes - though I can see this working for many other gourmand lovers, and its uniqueness is certainly deserving of praise.

sophie sanderson

I definately need a bottle of this but what's scandalous is boots expecting some one to pay £83 for a 50ml bottle of it even if I had the money I wouldn't pay that no way I don't think so I'm waiting till it's available else where and it's not so expensive

sophie sanderson

This is so good but I'm definately not paying boots price of £83 for 50 ml for it talk about ripping you off I don't think so even if I need a bottle of this soooooo bad theirs no way I'll be paying that price for it

Catmo

When will this be out in the U.S!?

Jasmindee

Finally got my hands on a little sample, and while this is beautiful and elegant, it's not *quite* what I expected.

The caramel in this is absolutely beautiful, and it's rounded out with slightly salted vanilla. The Jasmine isn't erotic or dirty, it's clean and adds a somewhat mature edge. I also get a slight thread of "makeup powder" similar to Prada Candy, but this isn't too much, it just adds a very feminine touch.

I've enjoyed all of the Scandal family (I haven't tried Scandal A Paris yet but will soon!) but I can't help but think that this doesn't really have much to do with the Scandal line. It's neither scandalous nor over the top. It could have been its own fragrance. The original was a downright sexy, outrageous perfume for all occasions that had men and women chasing me in the street to know my scent. Scandal By Night was a flirtatious date night perfume that was syrupy sweet. So Scandal was a loud, playful casual scent. Le Parfum is like the mother of them all. She's sweet, but not too sweet, a little powdery, a little more muted and soft, but still wears matching red lingerie under her cashmere sweater.

Overall, I'll probably end up with a bottle of this down the line. This does smell really, really good and makes me feel very put together. It is a very demure and classy scent and I absolutely adore the red bottle. I do think it's an autumn scent though, so might treat myself when the weather turns a little cooler.

datliz

My favourite (and only) Scandal perfume. Absolutely beautiful soft, sweet, seductive powdery fragrance, ultra feminine and sophisticated. Nothing like the others in the range, which is good for me as I’m not a fan! My favourite fragrance release this year! Stunning 😍

Controlledbyscent31

First scandal that I actually would purchase ❤️🔥

Gothicandgourmand

What I love about Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances is that they are often outrageous and provoke a response, whether love or hate. This one I wouldn't have guessed was from JPG and certainly not a flanker of one of my favourite scents.
This is a run of the mill, salted caramel soft vanilla. It's nice enough, but it's not what I expect from this house and I was rather disappointed!
Viva la original!

Leigh-xox

I can see the resemblance with this one and Dior Hypnotic Poison, but I much prefer this perfume. It is like the younger and prettier version of Dior HP. I couldn’t wear HP as the play dough smell was too much, luckily it is way more toned down in this Scandal flanker. The sweet caramel vanilla dry down is beautiful, I keep smelling my wrist and it is getting prettier and prettier as the hours pass.

Fiestyminx

Very very sweet to start but after an hour the salt and jasmine come together into something more grown up Lovely Can’t stop smelling my arm

Catnipple

It reminds me slightly of Juliette has a gun's Mmmm... & Hypnotic Poison EDT (yes the "play-dough" scent is loud in this fragrance too)

It should’ve been called Scandal EDT it's very very light compared to the other flankers, i don't smell the salted caramel like i was hoping for.

Think of the OG Scandal but watered down & without the honey note. Main notes i smell are vanilla & jasmine.

But it's not a bad fragrance if you love the Scandal line!

likesleet

opened with a strawberry??? + caramel which was super sweet and inviting. 15 minutes after, i started getting the jasmine & salt unfortunately.

it was floral & savory, and a little cloying. the jasmine was dirty as the salt combined with the jasmine, not the caramel.

caramel came back after another 15-30, but i didn’t love it. it smells like a hard/sticky caramel. I didnt like it. it had the same sticky grossness that i dont know how to articulate shared by the scandal line.

The vanilla emerged after 1 hour. The drydown was just a combo of all the ingredients. 2-3 hours after, the jasmine & salt now just comes in and out. It smelled like a nice, sweet vanilla with occasional whiffs of the previous notes. It’s way less sticky which is nice.

I personally didn’t like it, but if you like all the notes, then you probably will. If ur a Scandal! fan, you will like this. This fits cohesively within the line and is identifiably Scandal!, but is different enough (the salt) to differentiate it from the other Scandals.

This does last like 8 hours, but it has very little projection. You can only smell it on skin, even if the smell itself is very strong.

soumayaela

I'm a huge fan of jean paul gaultier's fragrances
I have the entire scandal and la belle collection, not a single disappointment! They all smell good, great quality, you get what you pay for!
Can't wait to get my noise in this one!!!!

Zous

@Fenissa It is already out in France ;)

Amberlavinia

This is out in Boots in the `uk, I tested it on a strip has a slight play dough vibe in the dry down reminding me of Diors hypnotic poison EDT. Its a strong salty vanilla so if you love Olympea and other salty scents you'll enjoy this one

MaisonHamada

@Fenissa It is already out in France

I’m not sure I get the notes listed. To me it smells like Le male by JPG. I like it though.

Kuty22

This is the one!
I was waiting for an intense version of La Belle Terrible but now I'm getting this instead.
Hopefully they'll release a 'green' version of La Belle and I'll get that one instead

Wish the voting function recorded usernames so we could report the trolls. This fragrance isn't released anywhere yet, so it has votes based on what exactly? The damn bottle?

nenuphar

Notes sound delicious. Can’t wait to sample it.

Now that bottle… ever since I read that someone thought it resemble a gal with legs sticking out of a rubbish bin l have never unseen that image. 😵💫 bottle shape is forever ruined for me.
And maybe you now.
Oops and you’re welcome. 😬

likesleet

Catmo

DEFINITELY will be getting this.

ceeceelee

Why do they have all those fragrances listed under the reminds me of section? Is that just being facetious or a comment on others taste? How immature if that's the case, I mean, who has time to waste in order to do that? I actually feel sorry for them. Can you imagine being that lonely that you would take the time to do that, lol? Anywhoo, I want to smell this one, the bottle is gorgeous. Anyone have a release date yet?

Scentsibility85

Alien taste of fragrance maybe?? 🤔🤔

Snob Smells

Had Me at Salt & Caramel.....I'll be picking this up as soon as it's available!!

Jasmindee

Oh no, the beautiful bottle, the drool-worthy notes, the fact that Scandal is one of my favourite perfumes... I don't need it, I don't need it... *rocking back and fourth* I definitely don't need it...

Come on, JPG!! Even the colour of the bottle is gorgeous!!!! I am absolutely dying to try this!!
