Few days back an incident was identified while accessing Excel file from network location and many of users were affected. In this concern problem behind these incidents is identified. Details are mentioned below:
Incident Title : Stop error 0x00000027 in the Rdbss.sys process in Windows 7
Affected Users : Different Departments
Classification Category: Windows and Office
Cause : This problem occurs because the Redirected Drive Buffering SubSystem (Rdbss.sys) driver incorrectly frees a file control block (FCB) object two times.
Resolution: The fix for this incident an update is provided by Microsoft KB2732673. Patches are downloaded and provided to service desk team for both 32 and 64 Bit machines.
