MSN Messenger

The instant messaging (IM) service that was part of Microsoft's online offerings launched in the mid-1990s. MSN Messenger became Windows Messenger in Windows XP and evolved into Windows Live Messenger in 2007. See MSN and Windows Live Messenger.
