Audience Member The greatest of all time anime Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Ondrej V Since I can't be bothered writing a review for every single season I will write one for all here. This show is nothing special. I can't compare it with other anime (haven't seen them). By western standards it's mediocre at best. The overall plot is alright, but it's stretched so thin (especially after 100th episode) that you almost forget that it exists. Characters are exactly what i imagine generic anime characters to be. The dialog is atrocious. It's also extremely repetetive. Every time a girl says "omg, he is so powerful, how can i beat him?" i skip the next 30 seconds because she manages to say it 6 different ways before the plot moves forward. Nobody dies in this show. Literally nobody. How am i supposed to care about anything when every single "good" character has plot armor so thick he can barely breathe. While watching this do yourself a favour and use the right arrow key every time you feel like the characters are going to say something they have already said thousand times. Although the episode is 24 minutes long there is about 15 minutes worth of content (on average). For all its downs the show is still captivating. Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Even if the annoying elements are quite a lot here, "Bleach" emerges as one of the top classics of the genre, with the Soul Society and Arrancar arcs being among the best ever to appear in a shonen Apr 25, 2021 Full Review Eric Vilas-Boas Paste Magazine One of the greatest fantasy action anime tropes of all is the BFS -- that is, the "big f---ing sword"... Let's not kid ourselves. Bleach is all about the sword. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Jason Van Horn IGN Movies Besides the action and character moments, there was also a scattering of comedy bits... Rated: 8.8/10 Mar 28, 2019 Full Review A.E. Sparrow IGN Movies The anime is perhaps a bit more lighthearted than the manga would lead us to believe, but it's still a very fun ride, with excellent animation and an above-par English voice dub. Feb 12, 2019 Full Review Lucy Maher Common Sense Media While it's more like a traditional cartoon than some of the other, darker Adult Swim offerings, BLEACH is clearly geared toward mature audiences, and some scenes and themes will likely give families pause.
