Can't set default launcher

[Android Central Question]

Hi, I'm using an Oppo A73 running Android 7.1.1, ColorOS 3.2.

After installing Nova launcher, I'm facing this problem where it's not showing up in the
settings for me to select. When I try to set it as the default launcher, I get sent to this
Home Screen Apps selection, and the only option is :

System Launcher

I've tried other launchers too, with the same issue.

Settings/Apps/System Launcher/Open by Default/Clear Defaults. Then hit the Home button and you should be given a choice of launchers. Choose Nova and tap Always.

Too fast, and there's no way for me to stop it to see what's happening. Install Default App Manager and see if that can help.

Hi Rukbat, after some research I've found out that ColorOS 3.2 does not allow for launcher switching so it's a software problem with Oppo's implementation.
