こんばんは。ヤンゴン在住・つっちゃんです。
腹痛で出向いた病院は「International SOS」という病院で、インヤー湖のほとりにあります。ここには日本人の先生もいて、日本からの出張者にはありがたい限り。ただ今回はこの先生が週末でいないので、通訳と一緒に病院に行きました。いろいろと通訳通してローカル先生と話をしましたが、ゲロッパだけはジェスチャーでわかった
ので、「No No」と答えられた次第。
さて、今日はこの曲。オリジナルは殿下の曲。

邦題は「フィール・フォー・ユー」。この曲はBillboard誌で1984年11月から12月にかけて3週間、最高3位を記録しました。彼女の5枚目のソロアルバム「I Feel For You」からのとってもファンキーなシングルっす
これ、Princeのカバー曲ってことで当時話題になりました。即反応高一男子、そうやって聴くと「Princeっぽいじゃん」って思った次第
。
出だしのGrandmaster FlashのMelle Melのラップが猛烈に印象的。当時、まだRUN D.M.C.やWhodiniとかが売れる前で、ラップはいまいちメジャーじゃなかったので、この曲冒頭のラップはかなりインパクトありました・・・、ってか、「なんだこれ！？
」っていうのが正直な感想だったかな。で、ハーモニカは大御所Stevie Wonder。
PVはPat Benatarのこの曲にちょい似てるかな。とってもセクシーなビデオでございます（あ、Chakaが、じゃなくてね）。スタジオで収録したこんなバージョンもありました。ブレイクダンスばりばり
お、Pointer Sistersも歌ってるんだ・・・。随分雰囲気違うな・・・。

I went to “International SOS” hospital because of stomachache. In this hospital, one Japanese lady doctor is there so it is very comfortable for Japanese. However, in this time, I went there on Sunday and she was day off because of weekend. So I took translator with me.
Well, today’s song is this. Originally, this song is Prince’s song.
“ Chaka Khan / I Feel For You “
This song got 3 weeks No.3 on Billboard Magazine from Nov to Dec of 1984. It was very funky song from her 5th solo album “I Feel For You”.
This song is the song of Prince which was released in 1979. This song started with Rap of Melle Mel who came from Grandmaster Flash, and it was very impressive. At that time, Rap was not popular. RUN D.M.C and Whodini would get hit song after 1984. Harmonica was played by Stevie Wonder.
This video was similar to Pat Benatar’s “Love Is A Battlefield”, a lot of sexy lady were on this video.
It was funky, try this song.
