“bitches broken hearts” finds the narrator calling out someone, most likely an ex-lover, who acts as if they don’t care about or miss the protagonist when in reality, they can’t seem to think of anything or anyone else.

Eilish uploaded the song to her Soundcloud page on November 15, 2017, posting about it on her Instagram and Twitter. On March 30, 2018, it was released on all music platforms.

The song’s cover art is a screenshot from a brief video, in which Eilish wraps herself in the Louis Vuitton blanket she keeps above her bed.
