A supposed developer for The Elder Scrolls 6 has shared a bunch of info, suggesting the setting is High Rock and Hammerfell.

So far, when it comes to Elder Scrolls, the focus at the moment seems to be primarily on The Elder Scrolls Online, with the region of Skyrim slated to be its next addition.

We do know that Elder Scrolls 6 is happening, but there’s been very little info about it. With fans hungry for even a glimpse of the title, one alleged developer has decided to share some details.

Taking to Reddit, the supposed developer posted some relatively basic information, stating that they didn’t want to spoil too much.

The big one is that the game is not due for release until 2025. This essentially confirms that it will be a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X exclusive title but that was something fans already expected.

Something that’s slightly more interesting is an apparent confirmation of the setting. The game will allegedly take place in High Rock and Hammerfell, two regions from the series, tallying with a popular fan theory.

The anonymous developer added that the location shown in the announcement trailer from 2018 is actually Yokuda, which used to be the home for the warrior race the Redguards.

‘We’re really excited about this because High Rock hasn’t be really explored since Daggerfall, and Hammerfell has a ton of interesting lore that’s really shaping quests and plot lines,’ writes the developer.

‘So many players seem to think that High Rock is just generic medieval fantasy, but the truth though is that Arena and Daggerfall were both more closely inspired by DnD, and as a result leaned into that generic fantasy a bit more. Our approach to High Rock is going to be more closely leaning into Mark Jones’s various concept work from Battlespire. Still a bit close to the typical medieval fantasy, but it’s got a really unique style that a lot of us are passionate about.

‘High Rock is shaping up to be really interesting and it really scratches the itch for a mystic world. A lot of the quests revolve around political intrigue and making advancement in magic.’

There are a ton of other details, like how Bethesda are aiming to create a game with no loading screens, with the exceptions of entering dungeons, the player’s home, and fast travel.

The leak even gives away some (though not as much) info about Starfield, mentioning that there will be a new teaser for it right before E3.

As exciting as this may all seem, it’s important to note that this isn’t official information. The leaker offers no proof of who they there are or what they’re saying and could very easily be a fan looking for attention.

That said they do offer a lot of detail and the most important take away – that the game won’t be out for several years – is very believable, and essentially exactly what Bethesda warned the last time they talked about it.
