ANAHEIM – Six men and five women were arrested on varying charges after SWAT teams from the Anaheim Police Department raided two motels early Friday morning.

Police obtained search warrants for multiple rooms at the Anaheim Lodge Motel at 837 S. Beach Boulevard and the Rainbow Inn at 831 S. Beach Boulevard and served the warrants at 7 a.m., Sgt. Bob Dunn said.

The warrants stemmed from a narcotics investigation conducted over several months. At least 40 officers were involved in the raids. The SWAT teams were used because the suspects were believed to be prone to violence and in possession of firearms, Dunn said.

The people arrested on suspicion of narcotics violations at the Anaheim Lodge were Sean Bufford Smith, 46, of Anaheim; Adriana Meza, 28, of Anaheim; Deanna Cisneros, 40, of Anaheim; and Mataio Sagaio, 35, of Anaheim.

Jimmie Connor, 40, of Anaheim, was arrested on suspicion of narcotic violations, weapon violation and destruction of evidence. Michael Mills, 40, of Rancho Santa Margarita and Ivery Jervell Casey, 45, of Anaheim were also arrested on the same charges.

Carmen Barnes, 48, of Anaheim was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and on suspicion of narcotics charges.

Police recovered 18 grams of narcotics ranging from methamphetamine to cocaine, $2,000 in cash and a semiautomatic handgun, Dunn said.

At the Rainbow Inn, police arrested Leticia Olivas, 32, of Anaheim; Raymond Robberson, 54, of Anaheim; and Carmen Jamison, 45, of Anaheim, all on suspicion of varying narcotics violations, Dunn said.

At the Rainbow Inn, police recovered narcotics paraphernalia and a small quantity of marijuana, Dunn said.

All the suspects have been booked at the Anaheim Police Department. The investigation is continuing, Dunn said.

Yang Zhang, who owns and manages the motel, said officers searched three rooms and detained at least six guests staying in the rooms.

“I highly recommend they do this more often,” Zhang said. Drugs “are a problem in the area.”

The southbound lanes of Beach at Orange Avenue were shut down during the search.
