Stoke City striker linked with move to Japan as boss says he has 'everything to be a top player'

Julien Ngoy's uncertain future could take a turn Far East.

That's according to the Mirror after hearing the praise poured on the Stoke City striker by Japanese club Vissel Kobe manager Thorsten Fink.

Fink was Ngoy's boss last year after signing him on loan for Grasshopper Zurich with an option to make the deal permanent. It did not work out, Grasshoppers went down and there was no Ngoy when they returned to pre-season training this week.

But the 21-year-old - who was on the fringes of the Stoke team under Mark Hughes - made a lasting impression.

Could that be enough to see him lining up next to David Villa and Andres Iniesta and Lukas Podolski in Kobe next season?

Fink said: "I worked with Julien at Grasshoppers Zurich and what I saw in training and games told me that he has everything to be a great player. He has fantastic pace, great technique and can score all kinds of goals.

"Ngoy is a top talent and I have told anyone who will listen to take him and give him a platform to play and they will have a very important player.
