This is a sort of surprising snack! When I hear mochi I think of something soft and chewy, but these are quite hard and very crumbly. The texture is the same throughout, despite what the packaging says. It's not unpleasant, just surprising! The flavor is interesting too, a combination of salty soy and lots of very chunky sugar crystals. I liked it but my husband didn't, and I think it might prove to be a love it or hate it flavor! Definitely not the typical Americanized teriyaki flavoring you'd expect. The individual pieces are also surprisingly HUGE, and there aren't a ton in the package. You can see the entire bag's worth in my photo. I don't think I'd get these again, but I did enjoy trying them.

Crispy crunchy puffed snacks with a delightful teriyaki flavor. They are not too sweet or salty and the texture is wonderful. These are much more dense a crispy than any other puffed snack I have had in the past, a new experience for me but I loved it. You can reseal the bag if you manage to not eat the entire thing in 1 sitting.

These mochi snacks are salty, oily, delightfully crispy, and very addicting! The crunchy texture is solid yet airy, and the mochi is quite easy to chew. These snacks have a flavor a lot like popcorn, and quickly satisfy a salty snack craving. The large bag is resealable, and these have stayed quite fresh once opened.

Unlike the butter flavor, the mochi in the Sea Salt flavor were not individually wrapped. I did not find them to be too salty, but they are strong on the salt and it could be too much for some tastes.

Whoa, there is a lot of flavor packed into a little rice cake. I can’t speak to the authenticity of these snacks because I’ve never had them before. However, I can definitely vouch for the amount of flavor in them. It’s a good thing these are individually wrapped because it would be flavor overload to eat too many at once.

I got the butter flavor, and it’s a great combination of sweet and savory. It reminds me a bit of kettle corn. I’m tasting the savory butter with the sweet undertones. They have a bit of seasoning powder to them, so you might be tempted to lick your fingers after eating it.

I’m curious to try the other flavors as well and probably will.

I wanted to like these, but just the combination of the texture and taste make me not want more of these. I just felt like the taste was bland and sort of weird, and then the crunch of it (which I normally like in a treat) just didn't work here. It might be for some people, but wasn't for me.

These rice crackers are thing, delicate, and crispy. The texture is really satisfying. The coating is a mixture of salty and very lightly sweet with the toasted flavor of kinako (soybean powder). It's a really interesting, complex, and delicious flavor. Each cracker is individually wrapped in a beautiful package (with colorful designs) so they stay fresh and are easy to eat/handle without getting powder on your hands. I lived in Japan for a long time and these are the real deal. It's hard not to eat a ton at once. They are so tasty.

these mochi are SO good, like you can put these with a morning coffee or tea or eat them plain, but they are addicting. they have a nice flaky texture to them and you can definitely taste that milky butter that they have.
